1. OBJECTIVE Establish and define the criteria for performing calibration of welding machines
Let's talk a little about the background:
Metrological comparison between a measurement device or an instrument with their respective benchmarks, certificates and their accuracy, in order to detect, report or eliminate by adjustment any inaccuracy of the instrument.
It is the difference in magnitude between the current rating of the welding machine and the actual value measured in amperage volt ammeter clamp, taking as basis the corresponding nominal value.
It is the difference between the actual maximum and minimum observed in the volt ammeter clamp, taking as basis the average real value of corresponding current.
Production Supervisor and / or Chief is responsible for: a) Use only calibrated welding equipment; b) Advise the staff involved and apply the requirements of this procedure; c) Arrange and meet with the minimum premises and equipment calibration; d) Notify the Quality Control prior to the date for the calibration of welding equipment.
3.1 The section of the Quality / welding inspector is responsible for: a) Calibrate equipment; b) issue the certificates; c) affix labels indicating the calibration;
d) verify the validity of the calibration time.
4.1.1 Staff required for calibration: a) 01 welding inspector; b) 01 electrician (only the 1st calibration); c) 01 welder.
a) welding consumables; b) steel plate appropriate; c) Accessory; d) Pliers volt / ammeter d.c. (Calibrated).
5.1 All welding equipment such as welding machines and portable greenhouses should be calibrated before use, and thereafter every six months. NOTE: This period can be set by the contractor (CLIENT) but not higher than that specified above. Example: You may require a period of months 3,4,5 calibração.Conforme to perform a new plan for measuring instruments of the company. But may not exceed six months.
a) Connect the cable clamp electrode to the positive terminal of the welding machine to be tested; b) Connect the ground lead plate test and the negative terminal of the welding machine; c) Connect the welding machine;
d) Set the lever in the desired position amp; e) Engage with the volt-ammeter clamp the cable clamp electrode; f) Carry out the reading of the clamp volt-ampere ammeter, comparing it with the values shown on the recorder panel welding machine.
Note: Evidence records calibration results of deviations in form. Calibrations should happen in bands of 80, 140, 180 and 240 amperes. If any machine does not allow setting these values, run the scan in the range as close as possible.
7.1 The results of the calibration process must be registered in the Control of Calibration of Welding Machines. 7.2 It should be kept track of time calibration, so no equipment is used with their deadlines expired. 7.3 The equipment may only be labeled when they are approved.
8 Acceptance Criteria 8.1 The maximum permissible deviations for calibration are: a) welding machine: + / - 20%;
