Installing the RTN 310
2 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
1+0 and DC Cover unused ports with caps. Different methods can be used to change the polarization direction of antennas. If the method described in this document is not suitable for the type of antenna you have, use the method described in the installation manual delivered with your antennas. The polarization direction of antennas is vertical by default. If the planned polarization direction is horizontal, change the polarization direction to horizontal. If an antenna with a diameter of 0.3 m or 0.6 m is used in a direct mount and 1+0 scenario, you may install the RTN 310 on the antenna and then hoist them both into position on the tower. If an antenna with a diameter larger than 0.6 m is used, hoist the antenna into position separately to avoid overloading the hoisting rope. Before installing a DC cable, bind the cable section that links the cable connector to the pole. This will protect the cable connector from damage. Be sure that the length of cable running from the binding point to the RTN 310 is sufficient to attach the cable connector to the PWR port on the RTN 310. Treat outdoor fibers in a similar manner to protect them from damage. Optional: Install the RTN 310 in split mount mode.
Optional: Install the RTN 310 on the antenna in direct mount mode.
