In Joseph Campbell's, The Inner Reaches Of Outer Space , he writes about the similarity between the Babylonian and Genesis flood stories. In the Babylonian or Sumerian story, there were ten kings who lived very long lives from creation to the time of the flood. This is given as a total of 432,000 years. Total years until Flood = 1,656 In 1,656 years, there are 86,400 weeks, and half that number is 43,200. There are myths about cycles in time, and out of time, so this doubling/halving is not uncommon. He believed that someone carefully gave the age of Noah to secretly hide the time cycle number.
He points out a number of other strange things about the numbers. Viking eddas were found in Iceland that told the story of the Day of Ragnorook, the Doomsday of the Gods. At that time, 800 Divine Warriors will come out of each of the 540 Doors of Valhalla (800 x 540 = 432,000). The number can be found in an internal clock in the body, as well as in the Cosmos. A trained athlete's heart beats one time each second. In a 24 hour day, that is 86,400 beats. The earth's axis wobble that causes the precession of the equinoxes is given as 25,920 years. Divided by the ancient number called "soss," 60, which was used in calculations, results in 432. A manufacturer of golf balls once did a test to find the ideal number of dimples to put on golf balls. It turned out that balls with 432 dimples went farther than the rest. I have read elsewhere that the Kali-Yuga time cycle of the Eastern religions, is also 432,000 years (in some stories a different multiple). I once had a dream of a football game, game , that I knew was an anology to the Great Change at the end of the present cycle. There are 11 players on each team, for an 11:11, which some say is related to the opening of the Doorway in the Belt of Orion. Orion . My dreaming path suggests it is about Revelation 11:11, 11:11 , where the two olive trees/lampstands/prophets stand up after 3 and 1/2 days. It is a reference to the midpoint in the chakra system. The next step is the fourth, the Heart Chakra. The head coach in my dream was Mr. Webb, and the assistant coach was Mr. Noon. I started to write a check to Mr. Webb for my football equipment. There were threads in a pattern on the check, which I had to remove to sign it. The coach reminded me that the check was to go to Mr. Noon, because he had provided the equipment. As I was trying to interpret the dream, I realized - noon is half a day, 12 hours. 60 x 60 x 12 = 43,200 seconds!
The New Jerusalem Plan Also interesting, The Woman with Child in Revelation 12 has a crown of 12 stars. The New Jerusalem has 12 gates, angels, jewels and pearls. The symbol of the Heart chakra is a 12-petal Lotus Flower.
John Mitchell, author of City Of Revelation, Revelation , shows a diagram of the New Jerusalem Plan, based on St. John's vision. It has 12 circles in a ring, with a 12-pointed star inside, formed by four overlapping triangles. The Zodiac is often depicted in a similar way. If you take the circles to be 360 degrees each, it comes to 4,320. Crop circle researches report that a similar Plan is found by dowsing within certain crop patterns, as well as at ancient sites, such as Stonehenge and Avebury. 432 is part of a Gematrian numbering system , that seems to be based on adding the number 36. 1656 and 25920 are two of them. Others are 144 or 144,000, and 1260, which also appear in Revelation. Each number had an "Alpha" or word meaning. 432, for example, means "Consecration." Some believe that the numbers were encoded in the Bible to transmit messages across time itself. Carl Munck has shown that these numbers were part of a very ancient system for positioning ancient sites around the world. His friend, and mine, James Furia, Furia, has shown that the musical scale is related. The centering note is "A" at 432 cps , rather than the standard 440. In The Message of the Sphinx , by Graham Hancock and Robert Bauval (pages 37, 38), the great pyramid is said to be associated with a base ten harmonic of 432: "Also 'almost impossible', since the mathematical value of pi (3.14) is not supposed to have been calculated by any civilization until the Greeks stumbled upon it in the third century BC, is the fact the designed height of the Great Pyramid - 481.3949 feet bears the same relationship to its base perimeter (3023.16 feet) as does the circumference of any circle to its radius. Equally 'impossible' - at any rate for a people like the ancient Egyptians who are supposed to have known nothing about the true shape and size of our planet - is the relationship, in a scale of 1 : 43,200, that exists between the dimensions of the Pyramid and the dimensions of the earth. Setting aside for the moment the question of whether we are dealing with coincidence here, it is a simple fact, verifiable on any pocket calculator, that if you take the monument's original height (481.3949 feet) and multiply it by 43,200 you get a quotient of 3938.685 miles. This is an underestimate by just 11 miles of the true figure for the polar radius of the earth (3949 miles) worked out by the best modern methods. Likewise, if you take the monument's perimeter at the base (3023.16 feet) and multiply this figure by 43,200 then you get 24,734.94 miles - a result that is within 170 miles of the true equatorial circumference of the earth (24,902 miles). Moreover, although 170 miles sounds quite a lot, it amounts, in relation to the earth's total circumference, to a minus-error of only three quarters of a single per cent." It seems clear that the number 432 has been within human consciousness for a very long time, and that it is often associated with a cycle of time number. February 5, 2007 Update
This is the first update (other than links) of this article since July 7, 2002. I was inspired to complete the update by two recent developments, one of which involved an event that took place on January 8, 2007. The other was finding a connection between the Biblical number 1656 and the Mayan cycle number 1872 around the beginning of 2007. The Mayan Calendar Connections
The Mayan cycle of time is based on 13 baktun periods of 144000 days each, for a total of 1872000 days. This amounts to approximately 5125 years. The grand cycle, arguably, began in 3114 BC (or 3113), and will end in 2012 AD. The exact time, again arguably, will be on the winter solstice, December 21, 2012, at 11:11 AM Universal time. Revelation 14:1-3 The number 144 (12 x 12) is also found in Revelation, as part of the description of the New Jerusalem: Jerusalem : The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its breadth; and he measured the city with his rod, twelve thousand stadia; its length and breadth and height are equal. He also measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits by a man's measure, that is, an angel's.
Revelation 21:16, 17 Note that the description indicates a cube with a factor of 12 measurement. This gives 12 x 12 x 12 = 1728. This is similar on a smaller scale to a cubic foot. It is often helpful to remove the ending zeros from the ancient numbers to simplify comparisons. The Mayan cycle, again, is composed of 13 periods of 144000 days each, for a total of 1872000 days. As reported in the article, Code of the Ancients, Ancients , these types of Gematrian numbers all add to 9 or a multiple of 9 and are divisible by 9. The primary Gematrian numbers are evenly divisible by 36. 144 = 36 x 4 1872 = 36 x 52 It is said that there are 52 years in a Mayan century. The most interesting connection I found was this:
1872 - 1656 = 216 Remember, from the first part of this article, that 1656 years is the time between the creation of Adam to the landing of Noah's Ark. The number 216 is half of 432 and equates to six cubed, or 6 x 6 x 6. The number 2160 is the length of one Zodiac Age in years. The number 216 is related to the number letters in the 72 Divine Names, Names , which have 3 letters each, for a total of 216 letters.
The fictional movie "Pi" featured the idea of the 216 Names of God, God , which have been lost. They must be found, so that the High Priest can say them inside the Holy of Holies on Yom Kippur to bring the Missianic Age and the the revival of the dead. This number coincidence with the Mayan cycle, therefore, seems quite significant. After rereading the above paragraphs, another idea struck me. A key number in the New Jerusalem Plan (or design) is 31680 miles. This is figured in two ways. Draw a box around the sphere of the Earth, which has a diameter of 7920 miles. The perimeter of the box is 4 x 7920 = 31680. The second way is to calculate the circumfrence of the circle in the diagram (above) that passes through the 12 small circles, each of which is the diameter of the Moon, 2160 miles. In this calculation approximate Pi or Pyramid Pi is used, which is 22/7. The radius of this "Moon" circle is figured by adding the radius of the Earth and the radius of the Moon: 3960 + 1080 = 5040. The circumfrence of the Moon circle is figured as: (2 x 22/7) x 5040 = 31680
There is said to be a converting factor with the verses of Revelation 21. The stadia is said to be the same measure as the furlong of 660 feet. Twelve thousand stadia converts to 7920000 feet. The breadth, length, and height are equal, so the figure becomes 4 x 12000 stadia or 48000 x 660 = 31680000 feet. Droping the ending zeros, the basic figure is 4 x 12 = 48, and then, 48 x 66 = 3168. As I thought of this in reviewing the above writings, I noticed the calculations: 144 = 36 x 4 1872 = 36 x 52 It became obvious that:
52 - 4 = 48 therefore 1872 - 144 = 1728 Finding the difference betwwen two of the key numbers from the Mayan cycle results in the "cube" calculation! This is actually obvious, since 13 x 144 = 1872, while 12 x 144 = 1728. But, the obvious did not become clear and meaningful to me until just now. The number 5040 was associated with Atlantis Atlantis.. It is also the product of the numbers 1 through 7: 1 x 2 x 3 x 4 x 5 x 6 x 7 = 5040 -----A Numerically Related Symbolic Event Quite often events happen that appear symbolic and related to dream symbolism. I have been compiling evidence to support the theory for a very long time. Somewhat rarely, I report them in online articles, such as the tragic events of September 11, 2001. 2001 . The ELF website has a letter about the subject that I sent years ago, under the title, " Dream Symbology Cosmology." Cosmology ." A recent event happened that seems symbolic, and may have coded a number related to this article. Interestingly, the event is about birds, and birds were quite evident in the 911 events in several ways. For example, a great bird can be a reference to the American Eagle symbol and its meanings. A smaller bird with a branch in its beak threatening people can be a symbol of the terrorists, and their "branch" of Islam. On January 22, 2007, I received an e-mail with two links that reported two strange events. Mystery of the Dead Birds "It could be the plot of a horror film, but in two towns on opposite sides of the world the mysterious phenomenon of thousands of dead birds dropping out of the sky is all too real." Dead birds rain down on towns half a world apart (The Daily Mail) --"Three aviary pathologists at Texas A&M University independently concluded that parasites and a 10-degree drop in temperature killed the birds, said Dr. Lelve G. Gayle,
the executive director of the Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostic Laboratory." Austin dead birds died of natural causes (The Kansas City Star) Just after reading the articles, Dee told me her morning dream. Some birds were being threatened by a poison powder substance coming down from light fixtures above. She took three birds in domed cages to save them. Each bird was of a different color; red, white, and blue. I mentioned the coincidence about the news story to Dee. We discussed the possible meanings of the dream. Dee had another recent dream in which there were three red birds dying. dying . Of course, dreams of birds are quite common. We are well aware of the mystery of dead birds being reported all over the world. Could it be that this event and others contain dream/myth symbols as messages? About two hours later, another coincidence happened. I read an article by John Major Jenkins that mentioned a Mayan glyph of a "fallen Bird Deity" that represents the Big Dipper. The article concerns the end of the Mayan calendar in 2012 through a study of the monuments in the ballcourt at Izapan. I often find that the dates and numbers in a given symbolic event, seem to encode other symbolic messages. For example, there was a special number on the day I saw the Viking Carving from the Isle of Man depicting the Fenris Wolf devouring the god Odin on the Day of Ragnorook. The image also contained a coin-like object with the number 128 on it.
I kept seeing the number all day long in different ways. Later, I added the date, August 30, 1990. 9 + 30 + 90 = 128 Many related coincidental events followed.
Note: As I was working on this part of the page, I started reading the Wikipedia article about the Isle of Man.. I soon saw a graphic with the number 432 on it! It is a car registration plate, with the triskelion Man (three bent legs) symbol on it. The other coincidence was the time I saw the image, 1:28 AM, February 1, 2007.
I speculated long ago about a possible connection between 128 and 432 : 4 x 32 = 128 The date of the Austin event was January 8, 2007. One could figure: 1 x 8 x 2007 = 16056 or reduced 8 x 27 = 216 (6 x 6 x 6) 1656 - 216 = 1440 The number 16056 is quite suggestive, as related to the Gematrian number 1656, which can be expressed as 8 x 207. The numbers have the same tangent, as is typical with these numbers. The difference also seems quite meaningful:
16056 - 1656 = 14400 The reason it is especially meaningful to me is because of the previous comparison of the Mayan number 1872, which is based on 13 x 144, and the Biblical number 1656. Perhaps the date of the symbolic event in Austin encoded this relationship. The base Gematrian number 36 shows another relationship: 1656 = 36 x 46 16056 = 36 x 446 446 - 46 = 400 1872 = 36 x 52 Combining the various cycle number harmonics reveals other possibilities: 1872 + 1656 = 3528 3528 = 7 x 504 3528 = 49 x 72 3528 = 8 x 441 (the mirror of 144) 16056 - 216 = 15840 15840 = 2 x 7920 (Earth's diameter) 3528 + 360 = 3888 (New Jerusalem) 1959552 = (1183 x 1656) + 504 The number 49 is another type of cycle of time number. 1959552 = (1046 x 1872) + 1440 1959552 = (1183 x 1656) + 504 Another interesting relationship to the above is: 1183 - 1046 = 137 The number 137 is associated with the fine structure constant and the alphanumerics of the Quabala. --One interpretation is that birds represent the descent of deity into the field of time, or the messengers of the deity. The shamen of the world typically have a bird guide. The domed cages in Dee's dream seemed quite important to me, because of the shape.
I made a note of this several years ago while watching the animated film, Pinocchio Pinocchio.. At one point, the little wooden boy is held prisioner in a bird cage. This event happened after he announced that he wanted to be an actor. The story fits with various metaphors about mankind. The bird cage, I realized, has the shape of the Omphalos, which is depicted above, right. The condition of mankind in the time cycle is "prisioner." The Pinocchio story seemed to pick up on the idea that we are all actors in the great theater of life. A related theme has to do with free will. In the time cycle in the lower three chakras, we do not have true free will. We are more like puppets on strings acting in the stage play of life, co-creating our realities unknowingly from the unconscious. One symbol of the condition is the "rabbit," as representing the unconscious dream realm. This is apparent in the story of Alice in Wonderland. Wonderland . Eventually, after the leap to the heart chakra, humans will become conscious co-creators. One symbol for this condtion is the name, "William," or derivations of it. The Germanic version is Wilhelm. The idea is the suggestion of having free "will" and being at the "helm" of one's own ship. Another symbol for this condition is "Lion King" and having "Royal Power." Great to see your post here. :-) Your mention of the crop circles reminded me of the thought that came to me many years ago when the crop "circles" began to evolve into more complex images. People were wondering, what should we call them now that they're no longer just simple circles? It occurred to me that they were like sigils.
Sigils are considered to be designs that can impress a specific "message" or "intent" into the subconscious mind of the practitioner or whoever might meditate upon them. Using the English gematria code (A=1 through Z=26), I found CROP CIRCLE = 102, a number that had no particular relevance that I was aware of. But then I tried this: CROP SIGIL = 108 = GEOMETRY. That was such an extraordinary "coincidence" that I figured I might be on to something. CROP SIGIL GEOMETRY = 216 As you noted, 216 is 1/2 of 432. TWO ONE SIX = 144 = GEOMETRIC SHAPE = MULTIVERSE MULTIVERSE = THE CHRISTOS = NINE IS THE KEY = THE SECRET KEY 144 = 432/3 Regarding the two phrases, NINE IS THE KEY and THE SECRET KEY, readers should should take note that the majority of the key numbers that you mentioned (with the exception of 128 and 137) are multiples of 9. Then again, 128 and 137 each reduce to the so-called "master number" 11 and the English gematria of the word "ELEVEN" is 63 which is 9 x 7. In his book, The Mayan Factor, Factor , Jose Arguelles shows the Tzolkin laid out as a grid with the individual units numbered 1 through 13 in a continuous sequence, snaking its way from the top left to the lower right.
On a whim, I replaced the numbers with the letters of the alphabet and this is what happened:
Not only did the word, "KEY", appear exactly 9 times, but it appears in the step pattern that is a typical serpent design motif common to Mayan artwork.
THE SERPENT KEY = 171 = NINE IS THE CODE KEY = THE ENCODED PROGRAM = DIVINE GEOMETRY = KUNDALINI RISING = SERPENT CROSS = THE LIVING ALPHABET = THE ALPHABET NUMBER 1+7+1 = 9 THE NINE KEYS = 135 1+3+5 = 9 THE NINE KEYS OF THE CODE = 216 = 432/2 NINE IS THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA = 234 = 13 x 18 and the reverse of 432. 234 + 432 = 666 18. Coincidence? :-) The number 666 is from the book of Revelation, chapter 13, verse 18. •

Therefore 12,000 Divine years in Solar years are 4,320,000. Made up thus: the Krita-Yuga of 4000 Divine years -1,440,000 Solar years, with the Dawn and Twilight thereof -- a Krita-Yuga is 1,728,000, (and isn't 1728 the cube of 12?). The Treta-Yuga is 3000 Divine years. Multiply this by 360 to turn it into our ordinary Solar years, and you get 1,080,000 years. Add on the 2110, the Dawn and Twilight, and you get 1,296,000 years. Here in the Table you get this series of 144, (the square of 12). Isn't it in Revelation of the Christian New Testament that it is said that the sealed unto the Lord, or the saved, shall be 144,000 in number? You see here again the mystical figure, 144, that is the main point. You can add and take off ciphers according to the time-period or cycle you are discussing. It is the head of the series of figures that is important -- 144. The square of 12, twice 72, 4 x 36, and so forth. So we go down to the Dwapara-Yuga: turn it into Solar Years, with a Dawn and a Twilight, and you
have 864,000; then Kali-Yuga, the age we are in now called the Iron Age, adding to it its 2/10 for Dawn and Twilight, you have 432,000 years. This system, or mathematical calculation of adding an opening and a closing of every age-period or cycle which the Hindus call the Dawn and Twilight, is an extremely archaic method of calculating based on Nature herself, for she always introduces everything she does with a preparatory period, whether of time or phenomena, or both, or whatever you may be dealing with. All diseases come with the Dawn of preparation. Then there is the disease. Then there is the Twilight of the disease as it fades out. So to get the full time-period of the cycle you must know not only the length of the cycle itself, but its Dawn and its Twilight, its beginning and its end. The Key-Number 72 With reference to the key-number 72, which itself of course is a cycle of varying length depending upon the ciphers added to it, the following series contains cycles, every item of which on the list is important and well worthy of study by those interested in chronological or cyclical matters: 72 x 10 = 720; 720 x 2 = 1440; 720 x 3 = 2160 -- an extremely important cycle this because entering into the computations of the precessional cycle mentioned above, for there are 12 such cycles of 2160 in the Precessional Cycle of 25,920. 720 x 4 = 2880; 720 x 5 = 3600 -- a cycle well known to historians and chronologers as the famous Babylonian Saros, which again multiplied by 100 or 102 equals the racial cycle mentioned above of 360,000. 720 x 6 = 4320 -- again a most famous cyclical key-number, well known in ancient Hindusthan and in Babylonia and in the esoteric or occult schools of virtually all Asia and ancient Europe, a cycle which with zeros added is an even more important human racial cycle than is the 360,000 above mentioned. 720 x 7 = 5040 -- another extremely useful, interesting, and important cyclical period, with or without extra ciphers to define shorter or longer periods, and mentioned even by Plato in his Laws, as already stated. The ancient initiate-astrologer-astronomers rarely failed in their prophecies, for it was a relatively perfect knowledge of the interrelations of planetary movements and of other cosmic time-periods, both great and small, which enabled them to predict with an accuracy of Nature herself events which they knew would take place because of their knowledge of what had taken place in other preceding cycles of time; and all cycles are repetitive, bringing more or less the same train of events or sequences as happened before, when these cycles begin anew. It should be noted that this is in no sense fatalism; for every cycle, although repeating itself constantly in time, due to what modern astronomy calls the irregularities in planetary and other celestial movements, is never precisely or exactly what the preceding cycle was; for every such cycle beginning anew its course always differs in less or greater degree from its former courses.
