Dear Reader What am I doing in this chair? You may well ask – I have been asking myself the same question for a couple of weeks now! The quick answer is that I am sitting in for Bea to give her a well deserved break. No-one who has read the AIM imag could deny the workload of putting it together on a monthly basis. However, even having been on the editorial team for a couple of years and taught Media Studies and English for more years than I care to remember, does not quite prepare one for the amazing amount of “stuff” to do. Also, being somewhat shorter and decidedly wider than Bea means I have to fit into this editorial chair gradually! Bear with me dear readers and please forgive the creaks! The editorial team have been so supportive during my initiation and readers have contributed some fascinating articles and projects. I aim to keep this momentum by producing the imag at significant times of year. For the next two issues I am preparing for the first week of July followed by mid-September. Further dates will be published in these but I can let slip that the summer issue will be looking at sea-faring fact and fantasy amongst other holiday topics. This issue has Spring as its theme – we have kept it loose deliberately to allow for many artisans with many specialisms to contribute. Easter passed us by but I like to plan for the future and will be sure to use those printies in good time – friends might even think I am organised if I make Easter goodies in January! Take a stroll through the galleries, make up a project and share some experiences. Enjoy issue 41! Even as I say hello there are goodbyes to be said. Sadly, this will be John and Jean Day’s last time on the editorial team. They have been such supportive members, helping with formatting and writing regular features including the Grape Vine. Thank you both for being there for my spacing and Photoshop anxieties! The Grape Vine will be taken on by Malcolm Smith of Malcolm’s Minis – details will be provided for AIM members very soon. Wherever in the world you are – be it spring or autumn – welcome to issue 41! And a special toast to Bea!
