SETTINGS PROTECTIONS
Settings
The selectivity between the protections can be realized in the mode defined below: • • • • • • •

The choice of the type of selectivity to be taken is linked to the following parameters: limits imposed by the system protections functions short circuit lelev The current system adopted foresees the realization of a type of selectivity, chronometric / amp. The range between the time settings of protection was calculated by the following: DT = ∆T = Te + Ta + Ti + To + Tm
DT, time margin between two protections Te, the sum of the errors in time relays Ta, any time of auxiliary relays (block) interposed on the opening circuit Ti, time of opening To, time of inertia of the upstream protection (overshoot) Tm, margin of safety Were also undertaken the following key assumptions: a) The transformers current transformers (CTs) are considered suitable for the detection of shortcircuit current in the transitional arrangement. b) It is assumed the maximum efficiency of protections installed and corrected the links between guards and auxiliary current transformers and voltage. c) DT min (MV) = 150ms, DT min (LV) = 100ms.
