Glycol Chilling System A propylene glycol and water mix is used to control the temperature of fermentation and serving vessels and to knock down the wort temperature through the heat exchanger. The glycol chilling system is the means of cooling and maintaining the glycol/water mix to an acceptable temperature. The system consists of a condensing unit, heat exchanger, reservoir and pumps. Solenoid Valves These valves are required to control glycol flow through a cooled vessel. A temperature controller located in the temperature control panel sends a signal to the valve telling it to either open or close depending on the setting, i.e. cooling required or not required. One valve is needed per cooled tank. Features: GC solenoid valve and coil ball valve & glycol hose adapting fittings

D. Suppor ting Equipment Fittings / Stainless Steel Quick Disconnects / Gasket Kit Breweries require a variety of fittings to perform different functions such as connecting hoses to pumps for transfers and CIP, unitank pressure relief blowdowns and CO 2 and O2 gas connections. In North America the most common brewery fittings are Tri-Clamp and Bevel Seat. Either type is available. Perlick Tank Tapping Fittings Breweries that serve their beer directly from the serving tanks, beer lines will be connected to the Perlick tank tapping fitting located on each tank. These fittings are located on the outlet side of the butterfly valve. Generally sold as single units, manifolds accommodating up to 4 lines are available. Brewers’ Hose High quality brewers’ hose is used throughout the brewery for transferring beer. Most small breweries will use brewers’ hose in conjunction with stainless steel transfer lines. Different size hoses are available.
