BTS ON-Line commissioning Procedure using B10 Go to configuration>> Hardware setting>>Begin HW modification
Go to configuration> BTS commissioning
Go to start commissioning> Edit Q1 Address, Edit Sector Mapping and Twin TRA setting as in offline.
Go to configuration> Hardware setting>“End Modification” to end online commissioning
Online commissioning steps Connect the Abis connector at DDF by verifying Tx/Rx cable properly. OML will be established after primary Abis has
connected to DDF. Give hard reset to BTS after OML has established. Put site on Downloading from OMC. O&M will be established as downloading completes. Connect Laptop to BTS MMI port. Go to configuration>Hardware setting>Begin Hardware modification.
Online commissioning steps Go to configuration>BTS commissioning>start
commissioning. Edit Qmux Address Edit sector mapping Check all Twin TRA setting. Click end commissioning and shift all modules from selected modules to available modules. Go to configuration>Hardware setting>End Hardware modification. Click “yes” when an automatically hardware modification window appears. Hw Audit will be run and all Hardware will be shown after sometime.

Troubleshooting If a TRE or combiner is in “Not Operational” or “FOS” state then
disable it then initialize it by using “init” command. If TRE or combiner can not operational by doing above command then remove it by using the following method. Go to configuration>>Hardware setting>>Begin HW modification. Go to Configuration>>Hardware setting>>Remove. Remove the Hardware from BTS. Window will be appear of Hardware removal, select the module to remove. Go to Configuration>>Hardware setting>>End Modification. Click ”yes” when configuration changes window appears.
Hardware Removal Method Step:1
Hardware Removal Step:2
Hardware Removal Step:3
Troubleshooting cont.. When a module goes in “FOS” state then it must be disable by
using ”disable” command before initializing it by using “init” command otherwise it will not goes to operational state. When a module is in “Not Operational” state with color white then it means it has not got it’s RSL number still. Reload BTS data by going to “configuration>Reload Bts data” or using a method of “Begin Hardware then End Hardware” as discussed earlier. It will take some time to become operational. When a module is in “MSD” or “MSA” state then it will not get any command because its maintenance has seized for a while. When TRE RSL has locked then then its RSL will not be stable, so unlock the TRE from OMC.
Troubleshooting cont.. Sometime there is some faulty hardware in Bts that’s why other
sectors or TRE’s can effect and can not work properly. Due to these faulty hardware other sectors or TRE’s can be down so simply remove this hardware. By this method other hardware become in operational state. Some time “SUMA” can not work properly that’s why whole Bts effects so change the slot of “SUMA” and give hard reset to Bts. If modules in a shelf can not powers up then check it’s power cable at the back ports of Bts or check it “RI” cable. Also check the power switch for the concern shelf. If a “EACB” card is Not operational or “FIT” state then initialize it from software. If it again goes in “FIT” state then Alarm card is faulty.
Troubleshooting cont.. Some time Primary Abis is stable by showing LED on Suma card
but OML can not become stable, It means that Abis LED is fake. So check the Tx/Rx cable from both Bts end and microwave end and make sure that it is correctly connected. Also check Tx/Rx patching on DDF by using LED. Make sure that LED blinks on every pair on DDF. Also check the BNC and Abis connectors. Abis cable which is connected from Suma card to Bts board can be faulty so also verify it. If a TRE or combiner can not operational than change its slot then verify it. Vswr issues can be resolved by checking connectors from Bts end and feeder end. The last option for Alcatel equipment to become operational is the “Hard reset of Bts”.
