PROGRAMMES AND ACTIVITIES The "iterary Club conducted its 9rst meeting on ?3?=0?**- $ednesday! ednesday! Subse@uent meetings were conducted on Aridays from *0!3? to 0!?? pm during the third semester! semester! Arom the fourth semester onwards- the Club expanded its activities and meetings were conducted on 4ondays and $ednesdays $ednesdays also from from *!?? to *!3? pm! f for any reason- a meeting could could not be conducted on these these days- it was postponed to the very next day day! 2ence- within a time span of about 6? hours- the "iterary Club conducted a variety of programmes programmes and activities!
)! Poetr& Present%t$on *Pen (o+n the oem, The students recited poems mostly their own- in various languages! The meaning that a poem conveyed was expanded! pinions were sought for improvement and necessary corrections were made by the students with the help of the teachers!
-! Short stor& resent%t$on *S%& the stor&, maginative and touchy stories unveiled themselves during this session! The audience opined on the sub%ect matter and language! Stories were based on a variety of sub%ects from the ones with a personal touch to the ones that centred on contemporary issues!
.! Art$/#e Present%t$on *Art $n the Art$/#e, Students either presented their own articlesor too up a newspaper or magaDine article for explanation and discussion! This was one of the most informative sessions! The members were enthusiastic to present articles in /nglish- 4alayalam and hindi! 7lmost every Club meeting had poetry- story and article presentation- thus giving the students ample opportunity to display their talent andimprove the @uality of its application!

The members appreciated the beauty of some literary wors with an artistic mind and criticised some with depth and precision! These sessions were astonishing demonstrations of ob%ective and sub%ective approaches toliterature!
2! 3no+ the 4r$ter n this session- members introduced poets and prose writers of various languages! Both the personal life and professional merit of writer were discussed! n some instances- a picture of the writer was also passed around! These sessions have encouraged students to now more about the literary mastroes and follow up on their wors!
5! 3no+ the Boo6 n this session a famous wor in a language was taen up and its outline was given to the students! ts literary merit and importance were discussed! The ob%ective was to cultivate the interest of students in reading these wors! 1eviews about the newest of the new boos were also presented to get the students ac@uainted with contemporary literature!
7! 3no+ the L%n"1%"e This was an interesting and productive session that helped students to wor on their language and cross many language barriers! $ords- phrases- grammatical structures and common usages of /nglish- 4alayalam and 2indi were presented by the members! "ater- the introduction of Sansrit words to this category- opened new realms of nowledge for the students!

The riddles and puDDles of various languages did magic in cultivating love for the language in the students! Sometimes competitions were conducted based on these and the game mood did wonders to improve the thought process and language of the students!
:! D$s/1ss$on %n( Deb%te 1elevant topics were taen up for this session! #roup discussions helped the students bond with each other share their ideas and voice out their opinions! The group leaders changed in every session- thus cultivating leadership @ualities and team spirit in them! Topics based on Fwomen empowerment and Ftonguetied teenagers stormed the debate sessions where opposing ideas clashed in the arena- presenting a productive war with words and vision!

The interactive session with the famous contemporary 4alayalam poet Sri! G$reeshP1#$&oor held on *0?=0?**- Ariday was an unforgettable and enriching experience for the Clubmembers! 2is views on poetry and his elo@uent and sincere expression of its present statetriggered new thoughts in the students for the improvement of the same! 2e recited a poem of his with such clarity and lyrical @uality- that it was also a demonstration of a new scope in recitation! The students participated actively in this session and posed their @uestions and remars!

7 bulletin board was placed in the college campus by the literary club since the club consisted of students from /nglish- 4alayalam and 2indi departments- students of each department in updating and maintaining the bulletin board- every wee! This activity prompted the students to write something on their own- more than before! The articles-newspictures and puDDles on the bulletin board received appreciation and positive response from many students and teachers of the college

The "iterary Club prepared a magaDine K7T21 T2/ 7B./ A 71T- under the editorship of 7rya ,!8! (/nglish) and 7parnaSasiumar (4alayalam)- that contained the contributions of all its members- divided into three sections E/nglish- 4alayalam and 2indi! The magaDine brought out the diverse and versatile literary talents of the members through stories- poems- riddles- articlespictures etc!
INDIVIDUAL PER=ORMANCE Best Performer 7rya ,!8! (.ept! of /nglish)was selected as the best performer of the "iterary Club! She is the coeditor of the Club 4agaDine and is incharge of the bulletin board! She coordinates the club meetings and sees to it that the programmes are conducted as scheduled!
A/t$ve %rt$/$%nts 7n%u 8ose (/nglish dept!) and 7parnaSasiumar (4alayalam dept!) contributed immensely to the bulletin board- magaDine and helped in the smooth functioning of all club activities!
7parnaSasiumar is also the coeditor of the magaDine and helped in the coordination of the club meetings! #eethusidhan- Kavya 4!,! and Chinchu B!U! (4alayalam dept!) made signi9cant contributions to the up dation and maintenance of the bulletin board and participated actively in other club activities! ther members such as 7nu 4!- #ayatri7%ayan (/nglish dept!) and 7chu7yyappan (4alayalam dept!) were also immensely cooperative!
ANALYSIS "iterary Club gave its members a suitable platform to hone their literary talents with productive suggestions- healthy criticism and heartfelt appreciation! t introduced them to the wider horiDons of literature in diverse languages! The Club gave them a sense of belonging in a group where their individuality and talents were respected and instilled in them a sense of con9dence to spea out! Thus- "iterary Club triggered conducive thoughts in its membersencouraged them to give it expression and inspired them to the course of progressive action! The Club 4agaDine 3AT'IR>T'E ABODE O= ART was the epitome of the inspiration of the students gained for their creative talent from the Club!
