The students should be able to: a) Draw and label an animal cell and a plant cell. b) State the functions of the cellular components in an animal cell and in a plant cell. c) State the necessity for cell specialisation in multicellular organism as compared to unicellular organism. d) Predict the state of certain cells without a particular cellular comp onent.
A. Set Induction - Teacher shows a summary chart and asks the students students to fill in the blanks. B. Development - Teacher explains important topics from each s ubtopic and asks the students to answer a few questions based on each subtopic. - The teacher drill the students with questions of past year SPM regarding Chapter 2. - Question and answer session between t eacher and students. C. Closing - Teacher recalls back ba ck the topic and asks questions to t he students to know their level of understanding. - Teacher summarizes the lesson.

A. Set Induction - Teacher shows a video on pl asma membrane and asks the students what they understand from the video shown. B. A. Set Induction - Teacher shows students a video on movement of soluble substances across the plasma membrane through the process of active and passive transport. B. Development -Teacher shows diagrams of movement of solubl e substances across the plasma membrane through the process of passive transport, osmosis and active transport and explains the movement of the substances with the help of the diagrams. -Teacher groups the students into a group of 4 and asks the students to draw the movement of the substances across the plasma membrane through the process of passive transport, osmosis and active transport. - Teacher shows some notes regarding the topic and gives some explanation. - Question and answer session b etween teacher and students to encourage students to participate more in conversations.
