Introduction A small LTE/EPC network is built at customer premises for demo purposes. Two eNodeB’s are going to be installed and integrated for the demo. Currently the only hardware data available is that the node will be delivered with a 1x DUL and 3xRUL setup. This makes it possible to create one MiMo sector for the demo. The scripts are based on DUL step 3. The transport network is planned to be optical with the use of SFP’s.

Cell naming considerations In this project we assumed that only one sector is going to be used per eNodeB. That is the reason why cell names were just chosen by random. In future a more logical naming convention should be used. This action could be an advantage if the current demo network is expanded and old design is used. As the current software supports only one cell per DUL, the naming of eNodeB’s could look like this:
When the software supports 3 cells per DUL, the existing cells 2 and 3 can be transferred to the first DUL:

Iperf A program called “Iperf” can be used to run throughput tests for UDP and TCP. It is a freeware program that can be downloaded from the internet. There is also a graphical user interface that is called “Jperf”. These settings has been used for tests: UDP iperf -s -i 1 -u iperf -u -c 10.1.0.18 -i 1 -b 70M -t 600 TCP iperf -s -i 1 -w 262.0K -M 1360.0B iperf -c 10.1.18.62 -i 1 -B 10.1.255.6 -w 262.0K
