Adverbs

Adverbs can be formed from most adjectives by adding an “-ly” ending. For example:

There are some important exceptions when converting adjectives into adverbs:
For adjectives that end with a consonant followed by “y,” replace the “y” with an “ i” before adding the “-ly.” adjective: happy adverb: lucky busy
