Example of fuse-mounted LBS installation This one line diagram is an example installation where the fuse combination LBS applicable. The rated current of the power fuse is chosen considering the capacity of power-receiving transformer and the protection coordination with OCR. VITZRO LBS is equipped with a fuse combined trip device that automatically trips when one fuse is melted due to short circuit or overcurrent, so that it operates quickly and accurately in case of fault in any phase.

1. The inrush current of transformer was estimated by assuming 10 times the transformer full load current for 0.1s. 2. The rated fuse current was estimated so that 1.5 to 2 times the transformer rated current could be continuously conducted. 3. The transformer fuse was selected on the assumption that it could break in less than 2 seconds at 25 times the transformer rated current in case of secondary short circuit.
