All NSTP courses used to be under the supervision of the Office for Stu Affairs (OSA). However, given the nature of CWTS and LTS, it was later transferre the Office for Community Development (OCD) in 2008. This office (OCD) is now kn as the UST Simbahayan Community Development Office. ROTC however, remaine be under the OSA.
Now that you are more knowledgeable on the history and nature of the NS this provides several possibilities for you as a student. Considering that the popula of the country is composed of relatively young citizens, your choice can be a meanin experience in the process of nation-building.
And you know what? After you finish either CWTS or LTS, you will bec members of the National Service Reserve Corps . You can be tapped by the Stat literacy and civic welfare activities, especially in times of calamities or disasters.
On the other hand, those who take up ROTC will be a part of the Citizen Ar Force, a Reserve Force to be utilized in times of war, rebellion or invasion. They provide assistance in relief and rescue during disaster or calamities. Interesting, right?
