THE BASICS”
In the article “Product distribution: the basics” we learn about choosing the correct mode of transport, no matter what you do, in business everyone any moment can need to transport its commodities. So, that’s why it’s very important take into account things like the budget, the speed of the transport (you have to make sure it be reliable), if your product is dangerous you will need to contact the Department for transport Dangerous Goods Brach, insurance, maybe you can need a vehicle tracking system just in case your product is expensive moreover you should package very well to avoid the risks. The size and urgency determinates the mode of transport these can be by: a) road: which is cheap but could be delays, there are restrictions in height and weight. b) Rail: this is speedy although it’s inflexible and expensive. c) Air: it is fastest, expen sive, it is charged by the kilogram however the forwarder organize airfreight shipments for you. d) Sea: it is a little bit cheap, slow and quite inflexible. e) Courier: these are fast, reliable and secure buy unfortunately they just work with a light weight.
