AD ADJUSTMENTS
1
Do not adjust the depth of engagement to a knife-edge, this will make the trigger unsafe. However, by decreasing the depth of engagement a small amount will reduce the amount of travel for the first stage of trigger movement. The spring pressure, acting against point A in the frame controls the pressure on the first stage. Increasing or decreasing the angle on the part of the spring that acts against point A can change this pressure. To To check that you have not set the strut spring to fine, the trigger pull should return to its start position if the shot is not taken i.e. all the first stage travel should return smoothly. 2 2nd stage pressure is adjustable by rotating a 2mm allen key - clockwise for higher-pressure etc. 3 2nd stage let off position is factory set, but can be fine tuned if necessary by using a screw driver on slot point B - Clockwise for 2nd stage to be felt earlier. earlier. REMOVING THE TRIGGER
To remove the trigger cassette from the rifle it is necessary to push out the 1-inch long pin that goes through the gun body by using a 5/8-inch long 'slave' pin. This way the whole unit stays assembled for inspection. SAFETY CHECK
Test for safe operation by flicking off the bolt from its back position. If set properly the trigger will hold the hammer back and prevent the rifle from firing off. WHEN CHECKING THE T HE TRIGGER IN THE TH E GUN BODY ALWAYS REMOVE THE BUDDY BOTTLE BOTT LE SO NO N O FATAL ACCIDENTS ACCI DENTS OCCUR OCC UR H. F. Taylor & D. R. Theobald
