BOUTIQUE HOTEL
INTRODUCTION:
Boutique hotel is a term used initially in North America and the United Kingdom to describe small hotels which have typically between 10 and 100 rooms in unique settings with upscale accommodations. The independence of a boutique hotel stems from both its individual character and its detachment from a larger, corporate body. A boutique hotel has an independent attitude, and works hard to not feel like a corporate hotel. A boutique hotel's intimate size produces its characteristic personal feeling and heady ambiance. Some luxury travellers enjoy the compact size and enveloping atmosphere of a boutique hotel. Examples of boutique hotels with strong personalities:
The celeb-studded, 91-room Hotel Byblos in St. Tropez on the French Riviera. A stylishly updated former convent with only 20 rooms, the Amalfi coastlinehugging Monastero Santa Rosa. A 12-room, 400-year-old gem in ancient Akko, Israel, The Efendi Hotel. All 21 suites of Southern Ocean Lodge open onto the wild coast of Kangaroo Island, called "Australia's Galapagos".
AIM: Aim to provide specifically oriented customer attention, providing p ersonalized service and pursuit of extraordinary feeling to their visitors, and design reflecting personality and style of the destination for tourism and visitors. Like: Special Guest, VVIP Person, Celebrities etc.
OBJECTIVES: The hospitality sector is changing. In order to gain attention of the travelling community it is required innovation and improvement of the services. This thesis concentrates on the boutique hotels concept, but the special attention is put on the boutique hotel sector. Style, distinction, warmth, and intimacy are key words in the architecture and design of boutique hotels, which seem to attract a niche of customers looking for a special and differentiated property able to fulfill their individual needs.
NEED OF PROJECT: The hospitality sector is changing. In order to gain attention of the travelling community it is required innovation and improvement of the services. This thesis concentrates on the boutique hotels concept, but the special attention is put on the boutique hotel sector.
LIMITATION:
Not more than 80-100 room.

INSTITUTE O OF G GENOMICS A AND B BIOTECHNOLOG Y
INTRODUCTION: Genomics is the study of an organism's entire genome. A major branch of genomics is still concerned with sequencing the genomes of various organisms, although the knowledge of full genomes have created the possibility for the field of functional genomics, mainly concerned with patterns of gene expression during various conditions. The most important tools here are micro arrays and bioinformatics. A gene is the unit of genetic information transfer from one generation to other.
AIMS & OBJECTIVES:
The key objectives of the proposed study are -
To create an environment conducive to research.
To create such surrounding to give complete freedom of expression to artists.
To establish connectivity between Arts & Science as the combination is rare & unique.
To impart education in the field.
To develop a well equipped resource centre.
To provide consultancy to industries.
To act as a platform for manufacturers for research & development of their products.
To control spaces in such a way so as to interaction of people for exchange of idea and learning can take place.
To design and plan according to the site conditions.
Promotion of interaction with national and international institutions/organizations having common concern.
SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS:
The building design will be in accordance with the climate and soil of this region
The design will take full advantage of the surroundings and location there forming an image for the cities architectural development.
Framing of the requirements on the basis of surveys and case studies.
Structural design calculations will not be carried out in detail.
No residential block will be designed.
