As this theory has a big e*ect on the mass media, consumers are not helpless rather they are able to use the media to gain certain gratications, such as laughter, interaction, in!ormation and so on. %n other "ords, the audience #uestions and analyses media te(ts rather than )ust con!using them. % !eel ! eel as i! this is a good "ay to target its audience as people get a say into "hat could be happening. he theory o! this means that people have more o! a say into "hatever happens to the game. his theory is positive in its approach, based on that the !act is i s that it !ocuses on communication but on a mass media scale. he audience has po"er over their media consumption and assumes an active role in interpreting and integrating media into their o"n lives.
he game 2anted 2anted 7 ill me i! you can 4!rom 4!rom Unit 015 "ould use this theory as % can improve the game !rom this as people can give me some !eedbac$ into "hat % can do and change !or ! or the ne(t version or update. 'ther"ise, it is )ust a one"ay conversation, that does not ta$e in any other comments then it can be a problem, as they probably "ill not get any gratication !rom it.

"hat has happened previously. previously. Ho"ever, the audience "ill need to be reminded o! the message throughout as i! not then they "ill not have a clue about "hat to do. 9ven i! the introduction "as to be s$ipped at the start by the gamer, game r, then this story can be seen or told throughout that game. he game 2anted 2anted 7 ill me i! you can game 4!rom 4!rom Unit 015 "ould use some sort sort o! a reception but it "ouldn:t be a big and important in the game as % don:t thin$ that it "ould be necessary.
9*ects debate 9*ects o! e(posure to e(plicit se(ual or violent content 9(plicit content "hether it is se(ual or violent is going to be sho"n more through games that have an age rating o! 6 to 1, rather than a nonviolent or nonse(ual game produced !or people aged 0. Many parents though "ith a child o! the ages o! 6-1 do not agree "ith the materials and thin$ that they should be protected by this. As e(posure o! this content, it can be a big problem !or children that could also be in the room. %! a child "as to be in the room then the causes that this has can be e(traordinary as they "ould more li$ely to become violent and se(ual very early on. he age rating is "arned on the the !ront and the bac$ o! the the game bo( or in a boo$let and the ages that have been selected are by the P9;% and they "ill be in a number o! categories categorie s such as

Advertising a game is a very po"er!ul tool to persuade them to purchase certain products or their game. %n addition, i! there is advertisement !or people to get the ne(t e(pansion pac$ li$e in +ims then they "ill gain prot !rom advertising it. here are many di*erent "ays !or a company to advertise their game through video clips on > or %nternet using a "ebsite called Dou Douube. ube. hey can also advertise through social media "ith little hints and tric$s into "hat the ne" items are going to be li$e. % do also !eel though that i! a parent "here to see the advert as "ell "el l then they are most li$ely to consider buying the game !or them as to )ust a child convincing them to do so. Ho"ever, this could lead them into not getting it !or them. he po"er o! the advertisement is to convince someone to buy their product and to e(cite and to hype them up so that once they have the game it "ould be more o! an e(citement as you have seen the adverts but "hen you get ge t the game it is so much better. better. My game "ould need to use advertising to gain more prot and more support to the !act that there "ould be probably more people getting the game and ma$ing the game more success!ul, plus % could advertise more updates. +o that people then $no" that there is going to be another e(tension to the game and this "ould be good. "e can buy the games themselves as they are starting to earn trust and they are starting to gro" up, plus these are the days that they "ill have time to play games as they "ill go on to do di*erent things. +ome parents still believe their 0-year-old children should be protected !rom certain things and that the best "ay to do it is to censor the material in the rst place. Here are a couple o! researched censorship debatesF or Censorship F Censorship is a good thing, it $eeps children !rom hearing and seeing inappropriate things. % !or one li$e the censorship because children do not need
