Safety Record In some cases, zero can mean a lot — especially regarding safety. Chromalloy has never been issued a single FAA Airworthiness Directive (AD) over our entire 50-year history, spanning more than 300,000 PMAs and AFRs. It’s a record we’re proud of because it speaks to the precision and durability of our work in service operation. Parts Right now, over 300,000 FAA-approved Chromalloy-engineered PMA and Airfoil Replacement parts are operating in commercial and military engines around the world. These components are engineered to meet or exceed the performance, reliability and durability specifications of OEM parts — while being offered at a lower cost. We design and manufacture HPT, LPT and HPC parts for a number of gas turbine engine types, and we provide PMA and alternative parts for highcost, high-scrap components on all but the newest turbines. We work with advanced tools including vision-guided interactive laser welding and drilling to precisely craft even the most sophisticated turbine components. BELAC is a joint venture company launched and owned by Chromalloy, Lufthansa Technik, United Airlines and Alitalia. BELAC provides airlines with high-quality, readily available, lower-cost alternatives to OEM HPT (High Pressure Turbine) blades. These particular components represent an airline’s greatest opportunity for cost savings; however, they are also the most complex to manufacture. Today, BELAC has more than 32,000 HPT blades in operation.
