The first installments of these remarkable dialogues were introduced by the Imperator in one of the special classes of the Supreme Lodge many years ago, to a group of members being prepared for Rosicrucian lectureship. By specia speciall permissi permission on we will publish the original installments so that members of the Hierarchy Degree may have the advantage of this unique presentation of rare knowledge and thereby add to their store of Ar cane W isdom. Mem bers will will discover discover information information in these dialogues which may be applied to an swering those thousands of questions which arise during the course of study in all the Degrees. It is important that one point of explanation be ma de. de . I t is c om pre pr e he ns ible ib le h ow th e pe rso rs o n alit al ity y of each of the ancient and modem earth charac ters may communicate with each other while in the Cosmic and how one may become attuned with such personalities and hear the conversations. Bu t, it may seem impossible impossible to unde rstan d what the author means when he attributes the titles of G o d and Satan to two of the voices in these these dial dialogues ogues.. M ay we say tha tha t whenever God spea sp eaks ks in these dialogues, it is the voice of D iv in e In sp ir a tio ti o n suddenly speaking through one of the characters; and when Satan sp s p ea \s it is the voice o f T he Tempter urging his thoughts through the voice voice of one of the characters. characters. W ith this this explanation in mind the dialogues become instructive and understandable.
Because of the attempts heretofore on the part of some to appropriate these rare dialogues for per p er so na l a n d com co m m erci er cial al us e w it h o th e r th a n th e right author’s name, we remind all who read them that they were originally copyrighted under the general copyright of the M ystic ystic Triangle in which they first appeared.
The First Conclave *
(Held in a silent section of the Cosmic on the occasion of the unexpected meeting of two emi' nent characters of earthly history.) Manetho: A s I live, art thou not he who was Mizraim, the Chaldaic King of Egypt in earthly time? I sense sense thee in that pa rt, though thou ar t changed in thought, indeed. M izraim : I salute you, elder elder Brother, and I confess to the shade of that personality in my self, but you are right that I am no more of the thought of him, for I have expressed on earth fou r characters since since the cycle cycle of Chion. I have have seen you often as we passed through yonder chamber, but I hesitated to speak for I found you in deep thought. A re you not he who wrote of the incidents of my land in history? Manetho: Thou art he who was King and I am but an humble writer of history; the historian and Priest they called me, but I deserved not the names. names. M y errors were too too many and too great; great; I w rote not all all fact. O ften did I allow my hatred to color my words, and my blindness to that which I would not see did keep the Light out of my w ritten words. But I compensated, Brother, for since the days w'hereof you speak I have sub fered the reputation of one who was called evil by thos th osee w h o h e a r n o t th e t r u t h fro fr o m me n o r do me justice to tell the truth. Mizraim: I kno w such compensation too. It was in my cycle in Egypt that man built the tow er of Babel. Babel. In th at segment of my existen existence ce the chief seat of earthly evolution of man was at the junction of two rivers, called Eden or Edina by b y thos th os e w h o w ro te h isto is tori ries es,, b u t I k ne w no th in g of Abraham. Th ere was, was, of cours course, e, Ibra Ib raha ham m formed by the words lb meaning the whole an d
Brahm, meaning the world in which we live. A n d I was on earth with my people then until the establishment of the God Apis which we believed to be the true God. H ow foolish foolish we were! were!
(The new Light is added to the others and the four join in close association while the fourth Light speaks:) I trust I have not intruded, but my form was drawn by some strange attraction to this pla ce and before I could control my move su bsta tanc nc e ment, I was being added to your misty subs here and soothed by your radiations. I have heard ju s t a p a r t of y o u r co n ve rs atio at ion n s a n d w o uld ul d like to introduce myself as Benjamin S. Wilson, just from Chicago and I am a stranger here although some things seem familiar. There is much I would like to know, but rather than interrupt with my questions I prefer to listen to your discussion. Wilson:
N o t fool fo olis ish, h, B ro th e r, b u t t r u ly m isis taken. It was my duty as Priest Priest in in Eg ypt to teach teach of the gods and the Lords, and I know, too, how mistaken we we re; but no t fooli foolish. sh. I knew well thy belief and the beliefs of thy people, and I was ready to cry “fools” to those who would not accept my God Osiris to whom we built the magnificent Temples—my God of the Sun, the great giver of Life! Life! Ho w close close w e w ere to truth , Broth er mine, and yet, blinded to the Light. But, who comes here, now, to our centre? I sense a soul light approaching and I feel the auric self expanding. Let us salute in greeting! greeting! Manetho:
(A hazy light expand s in all all directions from the two characters and reaches toward a third hazy form form tha t is is movin moving g toward them. Th e three finally unite in one haze in the centre of which are three Ligh Lights. ts. Th e new L ight of the the group now speaks:) Gree tings with in the Light. I have been indulging in meditation and contacted the thoughts expressed by each of you. you. It was truly an interesting conversation and I found my sel s el f in attunement with your auras and made bo ld to e x p an d to it. it . I w as plea pl ease se d to h av e y ou reach out to me and accept me. me. M ay I introdu ce myself as the converging personality of Louis Clau de de Saint M artin of the earth, earth, the nation of France? I knew both of you from from earth ly records but I know not your selves of this cycle. Saint Martin:
salute you, Saint Martin, and re joice joi ce in y o u r p re p a ra ti o n fo r co nv erge er ge nc e. B u t see, another Light approaches and is reciprocal. Let us expand and welcome another. Manetho:
I
It is no intrusion, I assure thee, for thou a rt welcome and agreeable. agreeable. See See,, thy Light finds a place between the fo u r of Manetho and lf , as a the se ve n of Saint Martin while my se lf, nine finds harmony here at the other side of thee. W h at peace there is in this partnership of Lights! Lights! It is truly a joy joy of the Cosmos. Cosmos. Th ou a rt strange in this this realm, realm, d id’st id’st say? say? A nd from w hence came came thy Light? Mizraim:
Yes, I am somewhat strange here, for I came only yesterday into the Lightness of this place, pla ce, and I came from Chicago. Wilson:
My Brothers, I understand his pe p e rp le x ity it y a n d his hi s un be co m ing in g w or ds . B ro th e r Wilson, this is neither plac pl ac e n o r co n di tion ti on , both of which terms were used to refer to the Cosmic. pla ce and condition are You must learn that both place terms expressing a limited form of expression. Both may change—must change—but here all is changeles changeless. s. A nd , to you, Brother Mizraim, I would explain that Chicago is the name now given to a city on earth which was once the centre of that city of passing evolution known in the ancient cycles as H y ji ja . You must know of this this,, Saint Martin:
Brother Manetho, for some of your earth races jo u rn e y e d on to H y jija ji ja to p re p a re fo r th e co m ing in g of new Lights after convergence. W ilson: I have heard you speak speak of convex gence, just as I was preparing to adjust myself to the attraction from this little group . You said you were a converging converging personality personality of Saint M ar' tin. tin. A re you you not Saint M artin now? now? N o , not now in the sense that you use now. In Cosmic sense sense I am am Saint M artin now, am Saint M artin in the past, and am Saint Martin in the future; but in your sense of time — e a rt h tim ti m e— I wa s Saint Martin and am n o w converging into another, which I will be later. Converging is the process of dissolving the urn important distinctions of character and closing the book of memory on the important characteris' tics of a self’s earthly expression, preparatory to taking up a new residence in a new body on earth as a new character. Soon — in earthly time — I shall expand my aura and a beam of it shall reach down to earth. Th roug h that beam beam my Light will descend descend and enter a new born body. body. M y Light will not be here, then, but I shall keep the con' tact w ith my beam ascendin ascending g a t every opportun ity to Cosmos. Saint Martin:
W ilson: I do do not understand everything everything you say, but I recall now that yesterday I moved along a beam, upward, and finally found myself to be a Lig L ig h t lik li k e oth ot h er s I see about me here. Shall I converge also? M ane tho: N ot for a segment of your earthly time, my Brother. Thou art too yo u n g , as Brother Mizraim reminded me a moment ago when you asked asked about you r sense sense of strangeness. strangeness. You r cycle of earthly expression was short and it must be co m plet pl eted ed be fore fo re co nv erg er g en ce begi be gins ns— — Saint Martin:
Unless—
Mizraim:
Yes, unless the Logos has decreed.
W ilson : In wh at sense sense am I too young? I was fifty'Seven years old just before this change came. That may be young, of course, but I never did expect to live more than the average of about sixty. sixty. N early all men pass pass away from life life at sixty or possibly sixtythree. Hear? T ha t report has come come to to me me direc t from from earth in a recent contact. M an is creating a new standard for his periods of ex pr es sion si onss an d is n o t st ri v in g to fulfil ful filll th e law . Brothers, this is sad indeed. By the Logos, Logos, man should remain in his earthly expression a period equal to one hundred and fortyfour years—earth years. N ow tha t you are here in you r fif fifty ty seventh year, you will probably remain as an Astral Light for eightyseven earth years before converging, unless— unless!! Saint M art in: Yes, unless Manetho:
How is it that thou should say A s tr a l Light rather than Cosmic Light, Brother Manetho? Manetho: I thought he might recognize that word, and I sense he does. Mizraim:
W ilson: I certainl certainly y have have heard the word astral many times and know that it pertains to the sky and the heavens, but I am not sure about the word Cosmic. And, what did you understand about heaven and the sky? Manetho:
W ilson: T ha t the the sky sky was the the great great distant distant space around the earth and above it the place or condition, perhaps, called Heaven, the home of God, and Angels or spirits. spirits. I never was convinced about God being in a place they called Heaven, but I do believe that Heaven is the pla ce— ce — o r c o n di tion ti on , as some so me call ca lled ed it — w h ich ic h I will reach after I am adjusted in some way.
Sa int M artin : You stil stilll beli believe eve that? Yes, but in a modified modified form. I feel now that I am on my way to Heaven, but that I shall not know when I am there for I shall have no consciousness. Wilson:
M ane tho: A nd you stil stilll beli believe eve tha t you are to go to Heaven eventually? I sense by your question that I am not fit, fit, not wo rthy. I must submit to yo ur better understanding of my worthiness. Wilson:
p r a y the th e e, B ro th er s, see ho w he suffers, suffers, and be lenient. Even now has he com' pen p en sa te d fo r m uc h su ffer ff erin in g th a t h e has ha s caus ca us ed. ed . Let us envelop him with our love and permit his consciousness to become refined to the wisdom of the Cosmic. Cosmic. Come, Broth er W ilson, we will com com s e lf to abmune in silence and permit thy true se sorb from the universal mind the facts of real existence and to know that this is the Heaven of thy earthly understanding, and that thou art worthy of it and shall be one with God in thy Heaven. Peace! Mizraim:
