Introduction This e-book is not intended to be a substitute for a veterinarian’s care . This e-book instructs animal caregivers about typical animal fears or discomforts and how to communicate with their animals to discover hidden fears that may cause specific misbehavior or wellness issues. The human caregiver, knowing the animal’s discomfort, can then provide better care for the animal. Animals, like humans, often have negative emotions and fears trapped in their energy systems, as a result of traumas they’ve suffered. These trapped emotions can manifest into physical or behavioral issues if not released. By learning animal communication, you can find the hidden reasons for their undesirable behavior, finicky eating or whatever is driving you, their human caregiver, crazy! You can try the animal communication techniques to connect with your pet whenever you feel ready to begin. You might be amazed at the immediate results!
This e-book was written for the animals and those who love them. techniques are powerful. Use them at your own risk.

Discovering Your Animals’ Comfort Zones "The lesson for animal caregivers is this: Do your utmost to help your pet remain in or return to his Comfort Zone.” -- Franklin D. McMillan, D.V.M., Author of Unlocking the Animal Mind
Animals experience positive and negative emotions that affect their health and behavior, just like humans do. When animals feel uneasy for any reason, they have left their comfort zones, usually NOT by choice but because of something humans have done. By learning animal communication, you can discover your animal’s comfort zone and know when they’re feeling discomfort or afraid. You will understand their reasons for acting out or feeling ill, then take appropriate action.
Dr. McMillan (author of above quote) has helped thousands of animals and was nicknamed the Veterinarian to the Hollywood Stars. He defines an animal’s comfort zone as “a mental place in the animal’s adapted environment in which s/he is relatively free from discomfort”. Any animal’s primary goal is to return to the comfort zone as soon as possible in any way necessary, including: Destroying your property or running away from you Overeating, finicky eating or not eating Aggression or shyness Regaining your attention by illness Getting attention by bad behavior. Animal Fears Outside The Comfort Zone Does your animal have physical or emotional issues? Think about your animal’s issues and what might be causing them. The symptom may be aggression, disobedience or a physical pain or condition but the core issue is likely a fear:
Fear of not being safe (the number one fear of most animals) Fear of failure (to be a good animal or perform well and please you) Fear of rejection or abandonment (by previous owners or you) Fear of success (such as being adopted, leaving their comfort zone) Fear that the frightening conditions will never end, such as being in a stressful environment for a long time as a stray, re-homed or abandoned and left in a shelter

Allergies Can Take Animals Out of Their Comfort Zone
Animals, like children, may act out because they are suffering from allergies, sensitivities or intolerances. They don’t know what’s wrong; they just know that they feel extremely uncomfortable or like jumping out of their skin. Animals’ immune systems know that chemicals are harmful to their bodies and may react to things we think are harmless such as: Food or food containers/packaging Toys, especially plastic Collars or harnesses Shampoo, flea and tick treatments Plastic or metal bowls Cleaning agents used in their sleeping area Fertilizers or pesticides applied to grass, in your home or parks Seasonal pollens and airborne pollutants Medications, natural or pharmaceutical Surgeries, the anesthesia, medical instruments used If you correct an allergic condition, you can help an animal return to its comfort zone.
Specific Animal Stressors Are you still wondering about the fears causing your pet’s condition? When I ask my human clients to tell me if any changes have recently occurred in the household that might stress out their animals, they often reply “None.” Later I find out that they’ve moved to a new home, a new animal or human has been brought into the home or left the home. Change takes animals out of their comfort zone.
Imagine trading places with your pet for a day or longer. What would you have to look forward to each day? What would you like to be different in your living conditions? What do you think would improve your animal’s quality of life?

Animal Behavior Facts
Most animals do NOT like change; any change in an animal’s environment is frightening. Your pet may not display fearful behavior when brought home or after a change happened. Their instincts tell them that to act afraid will make them vulnerable to attack by predators. The animal’s energy system may have blocks in it that are layers then triggered again with each change that the animal experiences. Their senses of hearing, smell and sight are far better than ours. Animals may act out to things that terrify them but we cannot sense.
Animal Discomfort Zones Animal’s discomfort may be due to things we humans would never consider such as:
Not having a safe place of their own to hide and be alone Too much time spent alone, feeling unloved and unwanted Fears about a human or animal that is extremely ill or dying Unresolved grief over the loss of an animal or human friend or family member Too little time each day doing enjoyable activities such a playing and exercise Not enough variety in their environment, never or rarely allowed to go outside Human stress, yelling, fighting or anger in the household, loud music or TV Moving to a new home; new humans or animals in the home Being bullied by humans or other animals, mistreated by children Hearing loud or shrill frightening noises, unusual sights or smells, inside or outside the residence Built up energy and anxiety due to not getting enough exercise each day Being bored, feeling worthless and/or not having a “job” or something to look forward to each day TIP: Animals need mental stimulation just like humans do.

Mind-Body Connection Applies to Animals, too! Still feeling puzzled about what might be causing your pet’s condition? Consult any mind-body connection literature that was written for humans and you may find hints to the emotions causing your animal companions’ conditions. Louse L. Hay’s books, “You Can Heal Your Life” or “Heal Your Body A-Z: The Mental Causes for Physical Illness and the Way to Overcome Them” (Hay House Publishers) are my favorite sources and available through the “Products” web page on my site: www.EmoRescue.com. I’ve found that animals store their fears in body parts and manifest physical illnesses just like we do, for example: Arthritis: not feeling loved by the owner or good enough Bladder: Problems: anxiety or anger, fear of failure to be safe Cancer: feeling useless, many years of unresolved fears Car Sickness: afraid, feeling trapped and unsafe Ear Problems: trying not to hear the turmoil at home Eye Problems: afraid to see what’s happening at home Fat: overeating to release anxiety, fears of not being safe Feet Problems: fear of being unsafe while moving forward in life Hips: nothing to look forward to, no work or daily job Joint Problems: fear of being unsafe due to changes in the home Legs: fear of failure to be safe while walking this frightening path in life Seizures: fear layers overloading the energy system until it shuts down Stomach: Problems: fear of change, feeling frightened much of the time

I love you!
I love you too!
You CAN Talk with Your Animal Friends! If you’ve read the previous pages, you now know WHAT issues may be making your animal friend feel unsafe and out of their comfort zone. Give yourself and your beloved pets the gift of communication to know how they feel about their lives, their names, their food and their comfort zones. Fears or Objections to Animal Communication
Got objections or fears about communicating with your animals? Maybe you’re saying to yourself that: You’re not intuitive about anything You’ve tried to communicate with your pet but it didn’t work You’re afraid of what your pet will tell you about how you’ve treated them You’re anxious that your pets will never stop talking, or nagging you for food and attention You’re afraid to try to communicate with your pet as you’re fearful what other humans will say or think I had some of these fears, too. I decided that the ability to converse with my animal clients to help them was far more important, so I released all my fears. When I thought about being an effective animal communicator and felt excited rather than anxious, I knew I was ready to begin. The very next day, I experimented by communicating with the wild animals on my morning desert walk. It worked! Am pleased to report that animals are often more polite than humans and rarely talk to humans unless the human initiates the conversation first.

You’re Already Communicating with Your Animal Friends!
Most pet owners believe that their animals understand some or maybe all of their feelings and words. Many animal communicators confirm that pets can see the pictures in our minds and also send mental images to communicate with us.
Animal problems can worsen if you focus on and imagine the animal’s misbehavior instead of the solution. Your animal friend likely saw that image and may have taken it as a command or suggestion from you. The animal may be very puzzled as to why they are punished when you get home for doing something you requested of them . When training an animal, focus on what you want them to do and don’t think about any past mistakes. Better yet, consciously SEND PICTURES to your animals in a gentle, kind, love way of what you’d like them to do.
For example: Have you ever been going home from a long day at work and imagined with dread that the cat or dog has chewed your shoes again or eliminated on the carpet…then come home to find it really happened? You have an animal with aggression problems toward other animals. As soon as another animal approaches, you feel anxious and tense imagining the confrontation that might occur. Suddenly your animal exhibits aggressive behavior…just like you’d imagined s/he would. You come home or visit the stables unexpectedly , eagerly imagining greeting your animal friend and going for a walk or ride or having a cuddle. Another person in the home or stables comments how uncanny it is that the animal always knows when you’re stopping by, no matter what time it is!

Mental Image Animal Communication via Pictures I’ve successfully communicated with animal friends via mental pictures using these steps:
1. Release ANY fears or anxieties you have about communicating with animals. 2. Spend a few minutes of quiet time de-stressing from any fears or anxiety you have from the office or life in general. When relaxed, approach your animal. Spend some quality alone-time with your animal, telling your animal friend how much you love and appreciate him or her. 3. If comfortable, visualize an energy link of pure love flowing from your heart to the animal’s heart. Feel the tender, warm love flowing between you both. 4. Ask the animal’s permission to communicate with you by pictures. If s/he stays in your company that means you’ve been granted permission and the animal is ready to exchange pictures. Most animals are thrilled to finally communicate with their human friends. 5. Keep a completely OPEN MIND and KNOW that your pet CAN see the pictures in your mind. S/he may understand your words then communicate back to you by phrases, feelings, noises, visions, colors or symbols. 6. State your intention to the animal , e.g., I don’t want to control you through this communication. I want to help you feel better. I want to understand what I can do to make your life more joyful, playful and healthy. 7. When you first begin your communications , consider starting out with the below first few easy questions for you both. You would ask the question, imagine the answer and send it in an imaginary bubble to your pet. What is your favorite food? What is your favorite toy? Who is your favorite animal or human friend? What is your favorite activity? What is your least favorite activity? Do you like to be groomed? Where do you like to be petted? Are you feeling any pain in your body? If so, where is this pain? Do you feel fear in your body or mind? What or who is causing this fear?
I’ve been waiting to talk with you forever!

Animal Communication, Animal Healing
8. Remain silent and alert for an answer that may come via: A mental picture reply from your pet, such as a picture of a toy, food or being groomed Words echoing in your mind such as “Help me! I’m afraid! My back leg hurts when I walk!” A twisting or pulling in your torso or throat or other body part, which may indicate fear or illness A feeling of weakness or sudden energy drain, which is how the animal feels A brief stab of pain or wave of nausea, which may indicate where the illness is located
How do you know that you’re not “making up” your answer? Intuitive answers usually have one or more of the below characteristics: Accompanied by an absolute feeling of certainty that this is the truth Immediate, often before you even completely thought the question A strange message or words you would never have thought of yourself
9. When you’ve gathered the information you need from your animal, thank him or her for their help and tell the animal how much you appreciate their communicating with you and how much you love him or her. 10. Disconnect your heart energy from theirs. This is necessary so you don’t exchange feelings and energy until your next communication session.
TIP: You may want to immediately write down everything you experienced during the communication exchange as you may have several issues to follow-up on, including a change of name or food variety, a veterinarian visit. Can we play and cuddle more when you come home?

Animal Communication Experiences I had the below experiences shortly after I began my animal communication experimentation. You can have immediate success, too! Silky the Pigeon While walking outside for exercise one morning I saw a large apricot-colored pigeon strutting in the street. I wondered what pigeons think about and decided to try out my new skills. As I mentally started to ask, “What’s your n—“, a high, female voice replied, “Silky. I am Silky.” I’d assumed the bird was male and I would never name a bird Silky. Based on those facts and that the reply came before I even asked the question, I knew the answer came from the pigeon.
Shane the Orange Tomcat During another of my morning walks outside, I noticed a large tabby tomcat stalking doves in a front yard. I’d seen the cat for years, but he was very wary of humans and always ran into bushes whenever he saw me. Today was no exception. I decided to see what was on his mind, why he always ran from me. I pictured myself during one of my volunteer stints at the local Humane Society’s cat room, petting, brushing and feeding treats to cats and kittens. I sent an imaginary bubble with my pictures to the cat’s mind to let him know I meant no harm to him. Immediately his head popped out from the bushes, a quizzical look in his eyes. I sent another bubble picture to him of me petting him while he felt safe and loved. He ran up to me! I think we were both surprised as he rubbed up against my legs and let me pet him. Now, whenever this tomcat sees me, he either runs up to me to be petted or rolls over on the sidewalk in my path, mewing in anticipated pleasure of my petting him. He told me his name is Shane, a name I’d never give a cat. Thank you Silky and Shane for mentoring this human on animal communication!

Animal Communication Tips & Troubleshooting Having problems or doubts about being able to communicate with your animal friend? Try the below resolutions and keep practicing!
Fish can also talk to humans!
Common Blocks to Successful Animal Communication
Animal Communication Block Self-defeating inner dialog or beliefs that you don’t deserve or can’t learn Animal Communication Not concentrating on the question but focusing on the Animal Communication process or the possible answers.
Resolution Release these blocks and clear your fears or beliefs or issues.
Imbalanced diet excessively laden with sugar, caffeine, soda pop, red meat, alcohol or drugs Asking an unclear or complex question that your animal does not understand or know how to answer Severe illness, stress, anger or bad mood, dehydration or fatigue External distractions, e.g. noises, smells or uncomfortable room temperature
Asking about winning bets in horse races, dog races or any questions involving personal gain instead of the animals’ wellbeing.
If you ask your animal friend a question BUT your mind goes elsewhere you may receive a miscommunication. Stay focused on the question with love and peace. Stay as healthy and clear as possible, physically, mentally and emotionally. Keep your questions simple and concise, e.g., “What can I do to improve your quality of life?” Never attempt animal communication in these states; wait until you feel better. When you begin the communication process, start in a quiet, peaceful part of your home where you both feel comfortable. Mutual communication is to enhance your relationship and provide better quality of life. Trying to communicate with race track animals for personal gain may result in incorrect information.

Top Twelve Tips to Successful Animal Communication
1. CLEAR YOUR ENERGY SYSTEM: Use any energy clearing modality to release any doubts, blockages or negative emotions that may arise about your ability or worthiness to connect to your animal’s energy system and talk with them or exchange pictures. 2. PRACTICE OFTEN: Similar to learning a foreign language, practice is necessary to improve your animal communication skills. With correct preparation, intent and environment, your skills should improve dramatically. 3. BE SPECIFIC: The more specific you are with your questions, the more likely you will receive correct answers. 4. ASK PERMISSION: Always request permission from your animal to be allowed to communicate with them. 5. STAY HYDRATED: Drink plenty of water, which conducts your body’s electric energy and provides a solid connection with body, mind and spirit. 6. SHOW RESPECT: Use "Please" and "Thank you" and “I love you, my friend!” 7. RESPECT THEIR SPACE: Request information, don't demand it. Animals have bad days like we do and may not want to communicate. If the animal doesn’t seem interested, try again later or the next day. 8. STAY CENTERED: Maintain an objective, positive, loving mindset to keep you centered. 9. STAY FOCUSED: Concentrate on the question you are asking rather than the possible answers. 10. BE COMFORTABLE: Encourage accurate results by removing or loosening belts or tight clothing that crosses or constricts the waist and torso. 11. REMOVE ELECTRONICS: Wristwatches and cell phones may result in miscommunications. 12. BREATHE: Take a few deep breaths before you begin then use the power of your breath to keep yourself centered and relaxed.
