Design of shear wall as per ACi method
Compound Wall Data :There is a filling of 1.2 m in proposed site from f rom neighbor site level. Type of soil is murmur at 1.8 m deep below the neighbors plot level. And soil SBC is taken as 20 T/m² at depth depth of 1.8m Compound wall is designed as retaining cum compound wall. Soil density is taken as 2200 kg/m³ ( soil + water unit weight ) Angle of repose taken as 25 º ( assumed . Self weight of structure Sl. No.

1. Check for overturnig :Resisting moment > 1.5 * overturning moment due to soil 6432.512
>
6027.27
Factor of safety = resisting moment / overturning moment 1.6 > 1.5 Therefore, safe 2. Check for Sability :Factor of safety = ( μ * W ) / p μ= W=

p = (1/3) * w * (h²/3)
=

Factor of safety

Therefore, safe 3. Check for Eccentricity :e=(b/2)-z

p (min) =

kg/m²
p (max) and p (min) are less than SBC of soil.
Therefore, safe
