1. INTRODUCTION Currently most of crude oils contain salts, water and metallic compounds which shall be removed before refining processes. To reduce salt contents, and also water and metal contents of crude, usually desalters are used in today refineries. Desalters are assumed as a process package during feasibility study, conceptual design and basic engineering design. Detail design of a desalter package is performed later by specialists / vendors. This software has been designed to provide required data during preliminary design phases, especially when technical data are inadequate. Obviously, results of this software are sufficient for preliminary phases and for detail design users shall confer with professional suppliers.
2. HOW TO START

You can see the software interface as shown in Fig.2. Click “START” and wait until the application license is validated.
