======================================================================== TABLE OF CONTENTS – the table of contents lists in sequence, with corresponding beginning page numbers, the titles of all relevant parts of the study. These include the titles of the chapters, sections and subsections as appropriate, bibliography and appendices. Also included are the titles of the preliminary pages as well as the required forms. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY – in your problem definition or statement of the problem should present why you choose a particular topic or subject. There are various ways on how you can present the introduction. Some do it by asking questions which would lead to the presentation of the identified problem. Others start with a narrative story on how the problem came about or how it was discovered. There are people who begin with current and relevant issues in their introduction. But although there are different approaches in writing the introduction, the objective remains the same – to show that the problem being considered for research really exists. (Opening statements about the main topic leading to your specific topic.)
(Discussion on the specific topic leading to your main problem.)
(Evidences that the problem really exists. Cite source/s of information.)
(Causes and effects of the main problem.)
(Presentation of a perceived solution to the problem and its strategy.)
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM - having chosen the specific topic for your project study, it is definite that you have something in mind that is finding a solution. It must be something which can be a technological need or problem. The problem must be well defined. It is important that you identify the Main Problem or the overall problem and the Specific Problems relating to your project study. THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK (discussion of each modules) OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY – it is equally important that the objectives why you are pursuing this particular project study must be established. The objectives are identified as to General or Main Objective and Specific Objective. The general objective must be in response to solve the main or overall problem presented. On the other hand, specific objectives must relate to the specific problems given and must be presented in the descending order of importance. SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS – of the study defines what is the study all about, where and when the study is to be conducted and who are the subjects are or for whom the study is being made. Also included is a brief statement of the reason why the study is conducted and how it will be resolved. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY – presents the value of the study, not only to the researcher but also to other stakeholders. The significance of the whole study must contain explanations or discussions of any or all of the following: the rationale, timeliness, and/or relevance of the study; possible solutions to existing problems or

(Who are the beneficiaries and how will they benefit from this study?)
BIBLIOGRAPHY – references must be cited properly, both in text as well as in the reference list at the end of the study. Below is an example of how reference should be done: For BOOKS Author, Name of the Book, Edition, Year of Publication, Place of Publication, Publisher For MAGAZINES Author, Name of the Magazine, Year of Publication For UNPUBLISHED MATERIALS Author, Year of Accomplishment, Title, Campus Name For ELECTRONICS / INTERNET Example: Tomas, Brian (2003), POWER UTILITIES Retrieved on (December 7, 2003) from http://www.winxtool.com/jsplit.htm
