1. Teacher pastes a substitution table on the whiteboard. 2. Teacher explains the Prepositions of Place ‘over’ and ‘among’ by using the table. 2. Teacher shows a short video which explains the usage of the prepositions of place ‘over’ and ‘among’. 3. Teacher shows pictures which demonstrates the usage of the prepositions of place ‘over’ and ‘among’. 4. Teacher asks the pupils questions in order to check on their understanding on the usage of the prepositions of place ‘over’ and ‘among’. 5. Teacher asks the pupils to construct some sentences using the prepositions of place ‘over’ and ‘among’. 1. Teacher divides the pupils into groups. 2. Teacher explains the Typhoon Game’s rules to the pupils. 3. Teacher distributes cards to each group. 4. Each group takes turn to answer the questions in the cards. 5. If the group manages to get correct answers, they can pick a number from the “Typhoon Game” board. 6. If the group gets a love, they will get marks. If the group gets a gun, their marks will be deducted. If the group gets a hand, they get the opportunity to attack and steal marks from other groups. 7. Each group takes turn to answer the questions and picks the numbers. 8. The group that manages to get the highest score wins the game.
1. Teacher distributes worksheets to the pupils. 2. Individually, the pupils are required to the worksheets by filling in the blanks with the correct prepositions of place. 3. Individually, the pupils are required to write sentences using ‘among’ and ‘over’.
