APP Polymer modified Bituminous membrane Cleaning the surfaces to our requirements, ponding the slab with water for 48 hours to identify, the existing leakage spots and grouting them with NINA’s “Hydrogrout” crystalline grout material to full saturation, making wattas at junctions of horizontal and vertical surfaces and thereafter, Providing and applying ”SINTOGUM 18, 4 mm thick APP polymer modified bituminous waterproof membrane of either M/s. Imper Italia, or, equivalent, having weight of minimum 4.5 Kg per Sq.Mt. with non Woven polyester reinforcement @ 180 GSM and smooth or sand finish, laid on the screed concrete surface, by torching method with minimum overlap of 75 mm and also applied on the vertical surface upto 300 mm height above F.F.L tucking the membrane into a groove with bitumatic sealant applied to seal the groove all as per manufacturers recommendation, including application of solvent / water based bituminous primer on the surfaces prior to application of the membrane. Sintogum 18 membrane has a tensile strength of 800 N/5cm in longitudinal and 600 N/5cm in transverse (±20%), elongation properties of 45% ( ± 15%), tested for water tightness over 60 Kpa as per EN 1928 – B, with cold flexibility of < -5oC. On completion of laying the membrane the surface shall be ponded with water for 3 days to test water tightness etc. complete.

Waterproofing treatment to external wall plastered surface
(a)
Supplying “Proofsol LWP” Integral waterproofing admixture for addition in the cement mortar for both coats of external plaster @ 100 ml per bag of cement, plaster shall be done by the main civil contractor as part of their scope with proper treatment to construction joint, between the RCC and masonry surfaces.

Supplying Fibermesh Stealth e3, 100% virgin Polypropylene fibers to be added in the cement mortar @ 125 gm per bag of cement for both coats of the external plaster. Plastering shall be done by the main civil contractor as part of their scope. Providing and applying NINA’s “Hydrogard” polymer based, liquid applied, highly elastomeric, single component, waterproofing coating on the plastered surfaces of external wall, in 2 coats, over one coat of primer with elongation capacity of over 600%, applied at a total consumption of 0.5 litre per Sq.Mt. Hydrogard is white in colour and is UV stable with crack bridging properties of upto 0.5 mm.
