preface PETROFEST was annual biggest event of SPE Java Section, cooperate with SPE Student Chapters, together to accomplish this event. This year, PETROFEST was conducted by UPN SPE SC and UGM SPE SC as t he host for this prestigious annual event. Involving lot of majors including petroleum, geology, geophysics, environmental, and also chemical engineering, PETROFEST 2018 could be the path and media for students and stakeholders to share lot of experience and knowledge. Recently, the global energy sector has passed the deeper down t erm crisis. But still, many oil and gas company unable to reach out the unstable prices, that impact on various concern and issue due to long-term decision making. This atmosphere was also compounded by the unattractive government share curve, which makes it more unappealing for investment in Indonesia itself. Energy holds the most important role of all sector. As it able to impact lot of thread especially in growth and development of human dexterity while thriving their agility. When energy struggling to have the ideal form, lot of chances have passed and also lot of projects upshot unsatisfied. Therefore, as the future energy leader, we offer another step to maximize all potential in a mission to enhanced competence and competitiveness to face the world energy obstacle. Thus, by bringing the theme of “Traverse Advanced Perspective to Confront World Energy Tenacity”, we have an immense hope that all of aspire and ideas could enhance qualification to become the best among the best.
