Description Multimode optical fibre is suitable for communication over short distances; such as in an office building or school. Multimode fibre equipment is cheaper than singlemode, and due to its high capacity and reliability, multimode fibre is ideal for enterprise back bone and data centre applications. Multimode patch cables are available in OM1, OM2, OM3, and OM4 fibre cable types. Standard connector types are LC, SC, ST, and FC. Standard lengths are 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 & 20 meters. Other lengths are also available.
