working channel and retrieval tools.
Internal working channel scope expands inspection capabilities Retrieve foreign objects, take samples, and perform hook and drag engine inspections Note: The IPLEX FX is t he OEM scope of choice for the F-135/JSF F-135/JSF engine.
Interchangeable Interc hangeable scope with integrated working channel IPLEX FX features interchangeable scope units for configuration flexibility to meet the needs of a wide range of inspections. The new 6.2 mm (0.244 inch) diameter working channel scope is ideally suited for foreign object retrieval and hook/drag applications. Combining the working channel into the borescope minimizes the scope diameter for use in very small and narrow places and transforms the IPLEX FX into a fast and efficient retrieval tool system. Other non-working channel scope units are available in 4.0 mm (0.157 inch) and 6.0 mm (0.236 inch) diameters with lengths up to 18.0 m (59.1 feet) long. The tungsten braided insertion tube with Tough Tapered Flex design provides excellent insertability and fray resistance.
Outstanding portability and durabili durability ty The compact and robust IPLEX FX is easy to use in harsh environments, thanks to the compliance of the unit to MIL-STD-810F, ensuring resistance to rain, wind, dust and humidity as well as physical shock. The internal battery allows you to work in isolated locations, away from a mains power supply, and provides 2.5 hours of continuous operation.
Sharp, clear images anywhere The IPLEX FX monitor now features Daylight-View for outdoor use in bright sunlight. When combined with advanced imaging technology and Olympus proprietary WiDERTM image processing algorithm, the IPLEX FX system consistently delivers clear, vivid and sharp borescope images.
Advanced measurement and image recording functions IPLEX FX is equipped with many advanced features that provide maximum capabilities in an easy to use format — measure and analyze suspected defects at any angle in up to eight different measurement modes; attach detailed inspection notes with ImageNotepadTM; and intuitive file management and recall functions.

LONGER REACH BETTER VISION
NOW AVAILABLE IN LENGTHS UP TO 18M. Ideal for long reach applications such as heat exchangers, condensers or process piping inspections.
Interchangeable Scopes – up to 18.0m in length The IPLEX FX offers a range of interchangeable scopes for system customization and configuration to meet the demands of a wide variety of inspections throughout a company’s site. IPLEX scopes are available in 4.0mm and 6.0mm diameters; and lengths ranging from 2.0m (6.6 ft) to 18.0m (59.1’). The 7.5m scope unit is available in both a standard outer braid or smooth resin exterior for nuclear or pharmaceutical applications where equipment cleaning and decontamination is required.
Battery-Powered for True Portability The IPLEX FX system is compact, lightweight, allowing the inspector to bring the IPLEX FX to even the most difficult of inspection locations. The IPLEX FX can complete full inspections when powered solely from very light, removable and rechargeable, internal batteries. With true portability, the inspector is no longer limited to areas with accessible AC power or the burden and presence of AC power cords.
Rough and Rugged – Tested to Military Standards The IPLEX FX is MIL-STD 810F tested to withstand rain, dust, sand, salt fog, and humidity – all typical environmental nemeses of any piece of electronic equipment. Designed to withstand the bumps, drops and falls of the everyday industrial environment, the mechanically stronger design adds durability for lower frequency of repairs and an overall lower cost of ownership to the customer.
Long Scope Reach, Short Scope Illumination The IPLEX FX Videoscope features a comprehensive range of interchangeable LED tip adapters varying in depth of field, field of view and direction of view. LED technology advantages over traditional bulb-based light sources are longer lifespan, low power consumption, high radiation resistance and consistent light intensity for all scope lengths.
Advanced Videoscope Features and High Image Quality The IPLEX FX is the most portable, full-featured video borescope in the RVI industry. The IPLEX FX is equipped with many advanced videoscope features such as standard digital image processing for complete control over image quality and optimal detail definition; still image and movie recording to internal and removable recording media; and stereo measurement for accurate, three dimensional defect measurement at any target angle.
IPLEX FX Scope Specifications Each interchangable scope unit consists of the handheld control unit and insertion tube. Scope unit attaches to the IPLEX FX IV8000 Base Unit with two secure latches.
