1.2 BRIEF UNDESTANDING ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
Organization is the structural framework of duties and responsibilities required of personnel in performing various functions with a view to achieve business goals through organization. Management tries to combine various business activities to accomplish predetermined goals. Business activities are divided into various functions; these functions are assigned to different individuals. Various individuals efforts must lead to the achievement of common business goals.
Present business system is very complex. The unit must be run efficiently to stay in the competitive world of business. Various jobs are to be performed by persons most suitable for them. First of all various activities should be grouped into different functions. The authority and responsibility is fixed at various levels. All efforts should be made to coordinate different activities for running the units efficiently so that cost of production may be reduced and profitability of the unit may be increased. While developing an organization structure, the two variables are required i.e.
Basic structure and
Operating mechanism 6
The basic structure involves issues such how the work of the organization is to be divided and assigned among positions, groups, departments, divisions, etc. and how to bring the required coordination for achieving organizational goals. The operating mechanism includes factors like information system, control procedures and application of principles and practices. The most important thing is establishment of systematic relationship among various activities and persons is the framework of organization structure. There may be problems and difficulties if the structure is faulty. The structure should be suitable to the working of the organization and be helpful in achieving business goals. The organization structure provides a framework which holds the various functions together in accordance with the pattern determined by managers. A planned structure outlines the required functions, correlates the functions in a systematic manner and assigns authority and responsibility. These are assigned to carry out various activities. These activities are to be specified, classified and grouped. Proper care to be taken to determine a structure which will suit the business needs.

1.6 OBSERVATION
Although the bank having a brand name but they don’t have a good image. Various promoters are support Axis Bank but still their market capitalization is very low. Growing Indian banking sectors are creating more challenges for them to survive their position. I also observe that only 853 branches are present in India and in Bhubaneswar there are only 5 numbers of branches are there. But there employees are very cooperative, and sincere to their works definitely it will helps the bank a lot to more develop in near future.
