ROMEO AND JULIET
The Classic Movie Romeo and Juliet that we've watched last time presents a good example of a classical romance and tragic love. As I watch the movie, it gives me a thrilling and challenging sensation on how Romeo and Juliet will overcome the challenges that are continuously provided throughout the movie. The movie have so much emotions that it bring tears to one of my classmate particularly at the ending part. One of the best challenges that Romeo and Juliet are facing is when the father of Juliet decide to give the Hand of Juliet to a noble man, maybe in exchange of name, position in the society and wealth. And also the biggest problem of Romeo and Juliet throughout the movie is the feud between their families.
At the very first start of the Movie it shows a competitive young men's competing for a game but the way they stare on each other you will easily notice that there are ongoing feud between them, it may seem as a game for the others but to them if they will lose, the pride they are holding will be crushed. At the next part, after the game there are also a fight between the two families so I think at the start the main point of the movie is all about the feud between the two families. I may be correct in some cases but when I watched the third scene where Romeo attended the Party on Juliet's house, he saw Juliet in its prettiest moment so he asked Juliet for a dance but a family related of Juliet saw Romeo. I became nervous at that moment because I think there first meet-up would be a mess but hopefully it's not.
So jumping at the most Crucial Part where Juliet's father gives her hand for marriage to some noble man that came from a powerful and wealthy family. I sympathized with Juliet's feeling because it really hurts deep inside to marry someone you just known for a couple of day and take note you only meet for one day. In this part shows the power of parents over a child, it governs the emotion, the judgement and etc. Juliet thinks about committing suicide their but the father or some herbalist dude help her and give her a potion to sleep deeply and act like a dead person. Before that the herbalist dude explain to Juliet how to use it and how he will inform Romeo about this.
That part when they execute the plan. They really thought that Juliet is dead. The father/herbalist command one man to deliver a message to Romeo about the plan. But the rumors or news spread like a wildfire and came immediately to one of Romeo's cousin so he also delivered the News to Romeo. I think in this part is the start of a messy situation. Do you imagine that if ever the servant didn't help one of the villager and came immediately to where Romeo is? I think it will become a happy ending but the author/producer pull out a mega twist that it ends up to a tragedy. It provides me a surge of emotion, from being mad, to disappointment and sadness. It feels like you wanted to go inside the movie and tell Romeo "NO! Don't, it is a lie!"
At the last part because Romeo got a false news he also thought that Juliet is dead, so he drinks a potion to kill himself also. After he died, Juliet suddenly wake up from slumber and found Romeo to be dead, then she stab herself a knife at the abdominal part that makes them both dead. I don't like this part because for me it represents stupidity.
After their death the two family became friends. So I realize that it takes some lives to realize a mistake. It feels like you want to change the story of the movie from the middle up to the last for them to have a good love story but I realize you can't change the thing that is already done.
I would like to recommend this movie to some romantic lovers because it provides a hardcore romance and the story is good too. To conclude this movie presents tragedy between couple.
