Learning Borland Turbo C++ The Turbo products are based on the Borland Developer Studio 2006 release and as such, you will have access to the complete BDS Help system. There are several ways to access Help resources to find information, including the various services and technologies offered in the product. You can press the F1 key to see the online help for a specific window, dialog, or error message. Some windows include a Help button that will take you directly to the online help topic for that window. Online Help Borland online help allows you to use the Contents, Search, and Index features to locate information about a specific topic area. The online help system provides detailed information about important programming concepts, user interface features, programming tasks, and component libraries. You can view the table of contents by choosing the Help drop-down menu. The Table of Contents displays the full help system, so you will see references to Borland Developer Studio 2006. After Help launches, it displays the contents in a tree-view with three categories: Borland Studio 2006 (Common); Borland Studio 2006 for .NET; and Borland Studio 2006 for Win32. Within each of these categories, there is a list of conceptual topic areas providing a general overview of Borland Developer Studio 2006. Procedural information is available next, providing step-by-step instructions so that you can perform many of the developer tasks described within the conceptual topics (The Procedural information also appears on the Welcome page, as a How-To Guide). Finally, extensive reference information on the Borland Developer Studio 2006 APIs includes links to definitions of functions and classes in the Microsoft .NET Framework SDK. You can search the online help topics using the Look for: and Filtered by: fields on the Search tab. If the Search tab is not visible when you open the online help, choose the Search… command from the Help drop-down menu to make the Search tab visible. The Index tab allows you to find a topic using the index entries that are imbedded with the text. The Index tab also provides you with the Look for: and Filtered by: fields. In addition, the Help drop-down menu contains the Help on Help command. Choose this command to learn how to use the Borland online help system. ReadMe The readme.htm file provides important information relating to your product, including a list of supported platforms, release notes, known installation issues, and important supplementary and late-breaking information that might not appear in the main product documentation. The readme.htm is provided on the product DVD and under the default installation directory.

IntraWeb is a web application development framework for: VCL (Delphi, Borland C++Builder, Kylix) .NET (Delphi .NET, C#, VB.NET) Using IntraWeb you can build web applications which respond faster, use less bandwidth, take less time to develop, are easy to test and deploy, and generally behave just like you would expect from a desktop application! There is very little difference between writing an IntraWeb application* and a normal application. Most developers, even with no prior web development experience, successfully develop weblications using IntraWeb in under 30 minutes. Developers need not spend months learning how individual HTML pages interact using HTTP, or learning JavaScript to customize the client interface. They can leverage their existing knowledge immediately. *Application - A web application or weblication, is any type of application that is similar to what you would put into an executable, but instead deployed using a web browser and the Internet. IntraWeb is the only tool specifically geared towards this type of development.

“You will be able to develop, test, and deploy a webbased app with no more effort than developing, testing, and deploying a lan-based app. I don't think it can get any easier than this. I am a very happy customer, and I would highly recommend it to any and all developers who are tired of banging their heads against the wall trying to get web apps up and running.”
“IntraWeb made it possible for us to create a website with a Geographic Information System (GIS), interactive pie-charts, and database query tools that displays data for 250,000 lots in New York City. We have planned this sort of site before, but never felt confident that our technology would allow it without a massive investment of time. With IntraWeb, we were able to translate the plan into action within ten days."
