The movie is about the experience of two affluent families in the World War II. It showed how the two families try to cope up with the war. The Ojeda’s were were invited by the Lorenzo’s to stay in their hacienda for fear that the Ojeda’s will be reached by b y the apanese immediately. The Ojeda’s accepted the Lorenzo’s invitation. While stayin! on the hacienda" #ena Ojeda and Inday Lorenzo tried to deny the realities of the war$ thus they are tryin! to preserve their pre%war lifestyle. They find it hard to accept the war. The way they reacted is very impractical. They cannot do their pre% war lifestyle because war is happenin! already. They should have tried to adapt to a different lifestyle. Two women" the doctor and &irin! joined them on the hacienda. The four do mahjon! everyday and chit%chattin! all day. Trinin! and 'a!!ie (#ena’s dau!hters) continued their  childish%li*e behavior. They should have been !uided more accordin!ly to what was happenin! instead of lettin! them be i!norant. +etween Trinin! and 'a!!ie" 'a!!ie had been more mature in the film. 'i!uel is also childish li*e the two. ,s the war pro!resses" the families decided to move to the Lorenzo’s forest rest house. They also tried to continue their impractical lifestyle there. , !roup of !uerilla visited them one time. They treated their wounds and !ave away some supplies. I did not expect that they would help the !uerillas but maybe" a part of them feared the !uerilla too. Trinin! developed a bad attitude" after she as*ed the doctor. -he cheated on 'i!uel (her fianc) for /ermes (the soldier). 'a!!ie confronted her only to be answered by sayin! she loves 'i!uel" but her love for herself is !reater. The doctor also tries to fulfill her desires in several manners. 'a!!ie fell for 'i!uel too. I do not thin* that they should have time to thin*  about their desires" war is happenin! and they should have been more precautious. +ecause their  rec*lessness and i!norance" they fail to see that one of #ena’s servant ('elchor) will betray them. Their rec*lessness bac*fired at them. 'elchor brou!ht his fellow !uerillas to visit #ena where they !ot everythin! and did bad thin!s to them. 'elchor also !ot Trinin!. The family suffered traumatic experience. ,fterwards" /ermes and 'i!uel rescued Trinin! and on their  operation" it was shown that a *illin! spree happened. The war ended and they !ot their 0lives1  bac*. 'a!!ie and 'i!uel were announced as en!a!ed. I li*e the special effects in the movie considerin! that it is a 2345 film and the effect were way better compared to 6ilipino films made

today. I do not li*e the movie that much because it was just focused on two families and not everyone has the same luxury as they did durin! the war. I do not understand the endin! since not everyone who survived was there (&irin!" doctor and /ermes). The endin! just showed that 'a!!ie and 'i!uel were en!a!ed and the war has ended. Trinin! became more horrible"  blamin! the war for what happened to her instead of blamin! the way she reacted to the situation. The second movie is Tatlon! Taon Walan! 7iyos. It was about 8osario" 9rispin and 'asu!i. The film also used some foota!es of the WWII. It also showed the hardships experienced durin! the apanese occupation. The film also told us about a love story that had happened durin! the chaotic time of war. I somehow understand why the movie was titled as 0Tatlon! Taon Walan! 7iyos.1 6or the people who had experienced the apanese occupation" the apanese’s stay here in the :hilippines felt li*e three years without ;od. The movie conform the 6ilipino’s experience durin! the colonization. 8osario was torn between her love for 9rispin and for 'asu!i. One of  the cruel thin!s that the apanese had done in the country is to rape women. 8osario was raped  by 'asu!i. Then 'asu!i visited her always. /e does not re!ret what he did because he li*e 8osario. /e even !ave supplies to the family of 8osario. 8osario does not li*e to accept him thou!h. 8osario !ave birth and was about to throw the baby but she cannot. In the end" 'asu!i and 8osario !ot married. -hortly" they were attac*ed by !uerillas and 9rispin came injured afterwards. 'asu!i and 8osario mana!ed to escape in a cotta!e at and abandoned cotta!e in the forest. 'asu!i tells 8osario to escape but 8osario doesn’t want to separate from him. /e was shot and hun! when 8osario and his child were escapin!. 8osario went to the church and met the  priest. The priest as*ed her to pray. When she was prayin!" an!ry people went to aven!e her" *illin! her in the process. 9rispin saw 8osario’s dead body at the school. 9rispin went to the church and the priest hand him 8osario’s child. /e was startin! to
