1.3.1 Precautions for Use Users can not make any change s to this product. If it is using for the commerci al hard disk, please use this player at the temperature range of -5 oC-+40 oC.
1.3.2 Use of Power Supply Operating voltage of this product: 12V Before use, please connect the power adapter or power cable to the corresponding mains socket on this product . Make sure the power cable is located correctl y, and free from any damag e or pressure to prolong the ser vice life of adaptor or pow er cable. To To minimize minimi ze the danger of electric shock, pleas e unplug the power supply from the socket before cleaning it. Never use the power adapter or power cable to connect with this product in the moist and dusty condition s and never change the power cable and plugs of power adapte r or power supply.
1.3.3 Maintenance 1. Do not attempt to disassemble the product and accessories including the AC power adaptor (internal high-voltage, dangerous), so as to avoid unnecessary damage of product or the risk of electric shock; For maintenance, please conta ct the professional maintenance person. 2. 1.5 Instal lation of Hard Disk
(1) Pull out the hard drive drawer's bracket.
(2) Prepare a 3.5” SATA hard drive.

(3) Put the bracket on the hard drive.
(4) Press the two fasteners by your fingers and inser t the bracke t with hard drive.
(5) Please make sure the bracket it's in proper position and slides smoothly.
(6) Loosen the fastener s and finis h the hard drive installation.
1.6 Instructions of Connectio ns 1.6.1 Connect to a TV Set This product provides various video connection for you, By applying different video input, you can have different video quality output. As your display device may be supported, it's recommended you select the one with higher quality of video signal transmission in order to enjoy a better image effect when you are w atching your favorite movies. 1.6.1.1 Composite AV Connection Connecti on as followin g steps: (1) Connect one end of tri-color port to A/V OUT port of this product as per the figure. 1.6.1.2 Component Video YPbPr Connection Connection as following steps: (1) Connect one end of tri-color port to Y/PB/PR OUT port of this product as per the figure. (2) Connect the other end of tri-color port to Y/PB/PR port of the TV set as per the figure.
Helpful tips: YPbPr Port has only video signals output, so please connect audio output to a speaker or other sound device at the same time when using YPbPr mode. Method 1: Use the A/V OUT to output the audio signal Method 2: Use SPDIF digital audio output the audio signal . If you want to connect this player to a power amplifi er, pleas e refer to the relat ive connecti on methods in Item 1. 5. 2—Dig ital Audio System for the detai ls (It's recom mende d to apply this method) .

Helpful tips: In a long service distance, it can always obtai n the most integrated data output by using a high-quality HDMI cable.
1.6.2 Connect to a Digital Audio System SPDI F has been used to output digi tal audio file s which may bring you a live musi c enjoyment. This product provides coaxial and optical connection methods.

Helpful tips: To use the power amplifier to output the audio signal, please set OUTPUT in settings as SPDIF LPCM or Source Code”. Please refer to Item “5. 1 Change the Voice Settings in Chapter V” for the detailed functions.
1.6.3 Connect to LAN Connection as following steps: (1) Connect one end of network cable to the network port of thi s product as per the figure (2) Connect the other end of network cable to network port of corresponding router as per the figure
1.6.4 Connect a USB Device Connection as following steps: (1) Make sure that this product is in ON status. (2) Connect the USB device to USB HOST port.

Helpful tips: the Wireless Network Card for USB is an optional accessory and not all wireless Network cards sold on the market can be used for this player. Please consult with the sales when you w ish to make the best use of this product.
1.6.5 Connect to a Computer By connecting this player to your computer, you can control and manage the files in the hard disk of this player. Connection as following steps: (1) Insert one end of USB cable into the USB port of this player; (2) Insert the other end of USB cable into the USB HOST port on your computer.
Then in the taskbar of computer it will indicat e a new hardware is founded and soon it will indicate the new hardware may be used norma lly. Open “My Compu ter” and a new disk icon will appear and you can operate the files on the hardwar e. Please refer to the computer instructions to format the hard disk. (It's not recom mend ed the user to use other softw are to partition the hard disk of this player). 12
1.6.6 Connect the Power Supply Connection as following steps: (1) Connect the input end of power adapter to the DC-IN of this product as per the figure. (2) Connect the power adapter plug end to the main socket.
II. First use 2.1 Power On/Off 2.1.1 Power on After this product is connected with power cable and vide o cable, slightly press POWER key to power on and the indicator lamp will turn from red to blue and access the system after a moment.
2.1.2 Power Off Press POWER key on the player when it is in w orking state to enter into standby state. The screen may turn black or flicker, etc. During power-off and after the system is shut off completely, the standby indicator lamp on the front panel will turn red to indicate that you can unplug the power s upply safely.

2.3 Hard Disk Format and Language Setting 2.3.1 Hard Disk Format The users purchasing for this product without the hard disk shall refer to the H ard Disk Formatting content of 5. 4 Change the System Settings to install the built-in SATA hard disk for the first time.
2.3.2 Language Setting You can set various languag es in the User Interface of this pro duct. Please refer to the specificati ons of 5. 4 Change the System Settin gs in Chapter V for details. The set languages will come into effect immed iately.

Press the Left/ Right keys to select the options, and press CONFIRM key to open the corresponding options.
There are five applicable options in the Main Interface, Movie, Music, Picture, Copy Files and Setup Menu.

Helpful tips: 1. In case of messy codes displayed during playin g some subtitle files, press Subtitle key to show the Subtitle menu and modify the corresponding character set codes and it will display normally; 2. In case of no audio output during playing some movies, switch the AUDIO to other channels and if it still fails, please try to decode by po wer amplification; (Please refer to 1. 5. 4 Connect to the Digital Audio System for connection means; and refer to 5. 1 Change the Voice Settings for the setup); 3. All supported movie files will be displayed in this application.

Prior to reading the following contents, please correc tly connect the Ethernet or wireless network and set up the network parameters with refer ence to 5. 3 Change the Network Settings , and ensure the smooth communications between this product and computer in LAN. Select NETWORK option from PREVIEW menu and browse the files on Internet via two methods as follow ing. Helpful tips: the working group or computer w ill not be displayed in the list subject to the different network states sometimes. Then it's recommended that you can preview by My _ Shortcuts.

Select and set the Network User Name, Network Password an d Appointed File Server IP , you can Press My_Shortcuts option to preview networ k. If you have not set up the username and password in the shared host computer, you can input the IP address directly of this host computer in the lowest field.
When you have selected the Network User Name option, the Virtual keypad input interface will appear. Input with the navigation buttons. Select the Network Password option to input the network access password with the same operations as mentioned above.
Select the Appointed File Server IP option to key in the file server IP. Please input IP address with the navigation buttons and numeric keys and press CONFIRM key to confirm.
Or you can select Details to set up Label, Network User Name, Network Password, Domain or Host Computer name, etc., and then select CONFIRM and press CONFIRM key to confirm.

Operating Methods In the application of Preview Files, Press the Left/ Right keys to select the file types of browse r on the screen ; Press Up/ Down keys to select the files to be added into the Play List; Press SELECT key to mark the files; Press CONFIRM key to add the marked file s into the Play List.
Delete the files in the Play List: Access into the Play List, move the cursor to the files t o be deleted and press SEELCT key to mark them and after having marked, press CONFIRM key to delete them. Helpful tips: To use the Play List, you must forma t you internal HD D in “setup” mode first.
3.8 UPNP UPNP, Multi-media Network Shared Server, you can play the files which ar e shared in UPNP device in the network. A built-in UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) client has been integrated on the system, which enables the player to auto-detect UPnP Media Servers on the network to browse and stream media files from them.
Installing UPnP Media Server on your PC There're a lot of free and commercial U PnP Media Server software, such as Windows Media Connect, Windows Media Player 11, Please install it on you computer. In the following chapters, we wil l take Windows Media Player 11 on Microsoft Windows XP SP2 for an example.
Sharing Media on your PC The Media Sharing feature of Window s Media Player 11 lets you enjoy the contents of your Windows Media Player library from anywhere in your home. - Open Windows Media Player 11, click Library -> Add Library -> Advanced Options to add or remove media files fro m the library.

IV. BT Download For this function, you have to use the built-in hard disk and format the hard disk in Setup-> System-> Format Hard Disk menu; then install and operate the corresponding software in the extended information.
