LESSON PLAN IN MATH- GRADE 10
Learning Competency. Performs fundamental operations on integers
I. Objectives
At the end of the 60-minute period, the students will be able to:
identify the rules in performing fundamental operations involving integers,
display accuracy in performing fundamental operations on integers, and
perform fundamental operations on integers.
II. Subject Matter
Topic: Fundamental Operations with Integers
Value(s): Accuracy in Solving Operations involving Integers
Materials: Cartolina, Pentel Pen, chalk, illustration, flash cards
III. Procedure
Classroom Routine
Motivation
Ahead of time, divide the class into four. Each member of the group will be asked to answer a flash card to be presented by the teacher. The group who will get the highest points after 5 minutes will receive a prize.

Lesson Proper
Presentation
Addition rules and examples will be presented
a. Like signs, directly add
3+3= 6
-3 +(-3)= -6
b. Unlike Signs, subtract and then carry the sign of the larger number
-4 + 3 = - 1
- 3 + 4 = 1
Rule of Subtraction will be enumerated and examples will be provided
a. Change the sign of the subtrahend then proceed to addition
-4 –(+3 ) = -4+(-3 )= -7
Multiplication and Division rules will be discussed
a. Like signs, positive; unlike signs, negative
