Statement of condolence on the damage caused by the strong earthquake in Loi Muay, Tachilek and Keng Tung, Eastern Shan State 27 March 2011 1. The magnitude 7 earthquake that jolted and centered at Loi Muay in Keng Tung district of Eastern Shan State on 24/03/2011, results in nearly 200 deaths, over 400 injured and over 400 damaged houses and buildings. The Restoration Council of the Shan State (RCSS)/Shan State Army (SSA) feels deep condolence for this.
2. The RCSS/SSA also appreciates and honors the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) that have been giving the needed assistances to the earthquake-hit victims, Shan State people.

To help the earthquake-hit victims in Shan State with food, clothing and sheltering, please do not hesitate to contact us. We, RCSS/SSA will offer any necessary assistance as much as we can.
