Thank you chairperson. A very good morning to honourable guests, headmaster, teachers, friends, parents and members of the floor. On this lovely day, I would like to share a story with you entitled “The boy who cried wolf”. o sit back and en!oy.
Once there was a shepherd boy who had to look after a flock of sheep every day. One day he felt very lonely and boring. "e decided to play trick on the villagers. "e ran into the village shouting very loudly “"elp# "elp# $olf# $olf#” The villagers heard his cries and came running to chase away the wolf. $hen they reach the meadow, they asked the boy “$here is the wolf%” The shepherd boy said “Oh# It was here, but now it must have run away.”The villagers talked to him for a while and told him to be careful. Then they left. The ne&t day he played the same trick again. "e shouted “$olf# $olf#” The villagers ran to help the boy. 'ut once again, they did not find any sign of a wolf. This time the men were not sure whether the boy was telling the truth. The boy !ust laughed at at them. And suddenly on one unlucky day, a real wolf came to the meadow. The shepherd boy was scared. "e ran into the village shouting loudly “"elp# "elp# $olf# $olf#” The villagers laughed and said to each other, “"e(s trying to trick us again#” 'ut this time a real wolf really was chasing the sheep# And no one came to help the boy. )ater the villagers came and found many dead sheep. The boy felt very sorry for what he did.
*ow, my dear friends. )et us not be like the shepherd boy. +eople that often tell lies are not trusted even when they speak the truth. "onesty is the best policy. eep that in mind# Thank you very much #
