Research Proposal Stage: Chapter I INTRODUCTION A. Background of the Study What is the identified research problem/ Why is there a need to do the study about the said problem? What made the researcher decide to do the study? B. Statement of the Problem What is the objective of the problem? C. Hypothesis Tentative formulations/explanations about the expected outcomes of the study D. Significance of the Study What contributions will the results of the study make to concerned individuals, administrators, agencies, service providers, clients/beneficiaries, general society, science, practice of a profession, etc. E. Scope and Limitations SCOPE: boundaries in terms of time, samples, locations, etc. LIMITATIONS: weakness of the study, which are beyond the control of the researcher Chapter II. TEORETICAL/CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK A. Review of Related Literature and Studies Presented in topical form irrespective of whether it is local or foreign With synthesis at the end to summarize and emphasize its relevance to the current study B. Synthesis C.
