Before you start full-time, you will also go through a 10 to 16 week technical training/bootcamp which is designed to introduce/familiarize you with Bloomberg specific technology, especially the massive scale in which the Bloomberg Terminal serves its clients. There are typically a couple of starting dates/training classes you can choose from. Though most new grads go through the 12-week training program upon graduation (It’s usually 12 weeks unless your major in college was Applied Math or anything that’s “less technical” than a Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering degree, this is a bit flexible though I’d talk to a recruiter for more details) with your chosen training class. This is especially helpful in my opinion, since you’ll start your full-time job with a cohort of amazing engineers who will offer you support throughout all your professional dev and many training classes often go out for drinks together after work, it’s like a family and all v cute/wholesome from what I’ve seen :’))))) --Machine Learning --Technology Infrastructure --User Experience --Global Data --Enterprise Solutions --Bloomberg Intelligence --Bloomberg Law --Financial Dev + more! -- AppNexus (Scroll down to “Engineering” on the link)

TECHNICAL PM INTERNSHIPS (50% TECHNICAL, 50% PROJECT/PRODUCT MANAGEMENT)

TECH COMPANY BENEFITS COMPARATIVE CHART *Currently piloting this comp chart for different internship roles within the tech industry, will def add more as we go but we want to gauge your interest as well so read on! For now, this is primarily for comparing benefits & pros and cons for tech internships (both tech and non-tech roles), along with compensation info and reviews, etc. The information collected here are taken from conversations I’ve had with friends who worked in these companies as well as fellow Brunonians who interned for the said companies, though some metrics here were taken from GlassDoor through anonymous reporting from former employees, too. Please note: I’m also hella beta-testing this so my apologies if there are typos here, haven’t gotten the chance to proofread all convo reviews and transcribe them yet. As for our future roadmap, we’ll try to organize this chart into 2 sections, one partitioned off for SWE (Software Engineering) and one specifically for non-tech/business roles. Let us know what you think! :D
