E G E N D F L I C K E R F A DEGONEM ARTINES AUTHOR: DARYLL DELGADO CHARACTER (S): NENITA, NENITA’S HUSBAND AND OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS MOST INTERESTING PART: For me the most interesting part is when Nenita still loves her husband. Even though his husband fell out of love and he cheated, Nenita didn’t mind at all because she loves him so much even if it hurts. ENDING:
When Nenita thought she heard her husband’s beautiful voice so she imagined herself as a young woman and she was dancing with her handsome husband. But then she realized that it was not real and she misses his husband a lot. REFLECTION: For me, Nenita’s decision was wrong. After being cheated on she still gave her husband a chance. A woman like her should not waste time on a guy who isn’t loyal. I pity her, she shouldn’t feel sad about her lost and she needs to forget about the past then move on. Virtual Center AUTHOR: Raissa Claire U. Rivera CHARACTER(S): Deila, Nick, Mariel, Reggie, Art, Bert MOST INTERESTING PART: The interesting part in this story is about the Virtual Center. It is actually amazing because you can live in the world forever and the best part is, your age gets high but your face never gets old. ENDING: Art and Delia escaped Manila and went to an abandoned island. Delia got pregnant by Art but she was worried about the baby inside her. She wanted to give her baby to have the best life possible. But it all ended with questions. Questions about what
will happen to them or what is the best way to live. She could not decide.
REFLECTION: I like the plot of the story but if it was in reality I would probably hate the world. They should not take our freedom from us and control our lives. One thing, I don’t want to get chased by robots just because I did something wrong. Sometimes too much technology in the world is not good for the people. Waiting AUTHOR: Ron Darvin CHARACTER(S): Isabel, Miguel, Roberto, Miguel’s Grandmother MOST INTERESTING PART: The interesting part in the story when Isabel caught his husband cheating on her. I really wasn’t expecting that part, I never thought Roberto would cheat on his wife who worked hard for their family. Wow this is how he repays his wife eh? ENDING:
Isabel and Roberto separated in the end. Miguel hated his mom and told her that it was all her faul and he was tired of waiting. All he wanted was a happy family but he thinks he doesn’t have one.
REFLECTION: Having a parent who is in abroad is never easy, you feel sad because there’s someone you’ve been missing. But if I were Miguel, I would understand my mom. She worked really hard for my needs and maybe the time will really come for everything. Everything’s worth a wait. FLICKER FADE GONE AUTHOR: Carljoc Javier CHARACTER(S): The gamer boy and his Princess Toadstool MOST INTERESTING PART: When he meet the girl who caught his attention. I never thought the gamer boy in the story would fall in love. ENDING: The gamer realized that the graphic world wasn’t for him, so he disappeared and didn’t come back to the arcade.
REFLECTION: I was confused with the story, but I think it tells us the video games are not good for people. It makes a person believe in to fantasy than to reality. They need to spend more time in socializing people around them and not in video games. Martines AUTHOR: Ana Felicia Sanchez CHARACTER(S): Totoy, Richard, Tatay Onsing, Stranger, Farmers MOST INTERSTING PART: Is about the Martines. At first, I thought the Martines whom Totoy always mention was a person or an owner of a mansion but I was really shocked when I found out that it was a bird a very big bird. ENDING: Totoy brought Richard to his destiny which was living with the Martines. Totoy and Tatay Onsing left Richard behind and they didn’t come back for him. REFLECTION: I think Richard deserved his destiny because he’s an arrogant man and hated his cousin’s beliefs. But on the other Totoy should
have told Richard about his destiny not in a way of forcing him, he should have known what his cousin’s decision. Turban legend
AUTHOR: R. Zamora Linkmark CHARACTER(S): Vince, Jing MOST INTERESTING PART: When Jing told a story about a man who went inside the balikbayan boxes just to go home in the Philippines but sad to say the man died. ENDING: Vince was still in the airport and about the story he heard he didn’t believes it because it was impossible but then Jing explained that the story tells us that Filipinos will do everything just to see their love ones. REFLECTION: The story shows that Filipinos are really kind-hearted and hardworking, they will work in abroad just to provides the needs of their family in the Philippines. Even though it’s hard to be away from their family, they will still find ways to interact and see them.
