Conclusions The Pluralist perception of viewing power came in at the onset of 20
th
century. It was a
progression from democracy. It is a more liberal way wa y of looking at the state’s relationship with an individual. Pluralists emphasized on the creation of associations that would share power and responsibility with the government. Their objectives were to decentralize power as well as to control the amount of authority the state exercised over the lives of people. Pluralism in its absolute form cannot be implemented. This is because of the differences in the influence the different groups would hold over the State. But as the state progressed from being a welfare state to a regulatory state the application of pluralism became more and more prevalent. While the name “Pluralistic Perspective” may not be a well known term, the governments all over the world do implement a certain amount of the pluralistic principles.
